"Trump supporters must come out of the closet..!" 'James "Kimo" Rosen' (Special political edition of Kimo's world #117)

Trump supporters must come out of the closet!

I am an Independent, not a Republican or Democrat. I voted for Obama two times and named my dog after him, with that said;

How is it Donald Trump is ahead in nearly every political poll and state primary--yet everyone seems to only talk dirt on him?

Trump supporters are like gays were 20 years ago with a don't ask don't tell mentality. Trump supporters are afraid to admit they like Trump as gays were afraid to come out of closet in fear of peer and family rejection.I find many liberals being the most intolerant of those with opinions other than what they believe. People will unfriend you on Facebook or unfriend you in real life because you may like Trump.

I believe Trump is the most  misunderstood candidate that ever ran for President. Mr. Trump goes for the sound bites. He is  the ultimate branding and marketing expert. The old expression, any publicity ,even negativity publicity is good publicity. Trump has dominated every news and talk show in America the last eight months, even during political debates everything is about Trump.

The media can't let go, Trump is a ratings magnet, every one wants him on their show.

Many laugh it off, like the size of his hands, or appealing to the poorly educated, but let it be known, these are all well calculated moves to remain in the spotlight of social media and all media at large.

I watched every season and episode of Trump's reality show 'The Celebrity Apprentice' and the 'Apprentice' hosted by Trump. I not only gained a high respect for his philanthropy skills but his business sense. His children are all successful and decent human beings too.

America is disgusted with the hypocrisy of Washington, Wall street and lobbyists controlling the candidate.
Trump has financed his own campaigns and owes nobody nothing.  Many American's are angry and  don't trust  Washington and politics as is.They feel politicians are manufactured and  are willing to take a chance on  political outsider Trump.

I am willing to vote for a guy whose not a politician but a successful businessman. I believe Trump may have his prejudices but whom amongst us doesn't? Whom amongst us hasn't sinned? People in glass houses should not throw stones...

Most important I believe Trump will bring manufacturing back to America which will create millions of jobs and help to make America great again.

OK folks, I am out of the closet,  who is man or woman enough to join me! Who is going to join the Trump train.  Woot woot,All aboard!

P.S.
Check out this heartfelt YouTube video on a blind man.
This video has been circulating around social media for a few years, but still gives me chicken skin and tears to my eyes...

KIMO & UNC ARE LIKE MINDED PEOPLE ,INDEPENDENT & FREE THINKERS BUT NO MONEY TO TRUMP DONALD TRUMP !!! In a democracy, all people ,rich or poor should be able to run for public office with out money by mandating the media give equal & free spaces to all parties to campaign so the political messages can reach the voters ,Presidents are not kings, they work for the people !!!

Juliet's line from "Romeo and Juliet" comes to mind: "My only love sprung from my only hate".....or something to that effect! That "love-hate" relationship is more commonly experienced it seems!

Excellent article. Articulate and informative. I applaud you for expressing what many are thinking but are afraid to verbalize. Bravo.

I don't think so. How is trump winning? His rallies are jammed.

My cousin called, we spoke for hours. Finally got--then lost--the paper. We're still friends, of course. I think you are very wrong about the guy. He's a psychopath. You're right about how Americans feel. I hope you're wring about him winning office.
I think I wold have to leave but I have no place to go. It certainly would end my outspoken blogs and I don't do insipid well. I despise fascists, nazi and the KKK, and it is never wise to let them know or speak out against them. Anyway you should be safe, although he is antisemitic. Hopefully the subject will never come up between us. We'll talk about Obama and the weather. I'm freezing.
Kalaheo went for Cruz. The entire country has gone insane.

Interesting fact, Tumps daughter is married to an orthodox Jew and she herself converted to orthodox Judaism back in 2009 which makes Trumps grandchildren Jewish. Therefore I do not believe he is an anti-semite. Ivanka Trump was best friends with Chelsea Clinton as teenagers. Chelsea Clinton is also married to a Jewish guy!

He started out he borrowed millions
from a lending institution, parked it in
an off shore account, took bankruptcy
on it then used it to amass his fortune.
This is all public record if you want to
check. He also said, "People are so stupid
I could shoot someone, at rush hour, on
5th Avenue, and they would still vote for
me!". I find this very disrespectful and I
would vote for Grumpy Cat before I'd vote
for that pompous piece of flotsam. Do
your research before you make up your
mind. If you still think Trump and his idea
of sending foreigners back to where they
came from is acceptable I want to know
his background I am, after all, Hawaiian/
American Indian and I belong here! What
Is Trump and is he willing to go also?

Anonymous said...

He may not be owned but, as I said, do
your homework. I too vote independent but I look at the records of those running. You don't have to vote Trump/Clinton you can choose one running behind them and, if you
study their platforms and backgrounds you may find someone you like better.

I believe the Mexicans will pay for that 12' wall Trump wants built across our
Southern border by selling 13' ladders!
If our military is disbanded as he wants,
who will invade and conquer us first? Too many holes in his platform for me. Hail Grumpy Cat president & Obama Da Dog vice!!! 😂😹😝

It's quite simple Kimo. Trump supporters hide from people who ask "Do you support his statements of racism, misogyny, and religious bigotry?" "If not, how do address those?"

KimoRosen said...

Pete, if you read my article (blog) would not no need to ask that question.

Harmony Bentosino said...

I'm not voting for him, but I will give you a like, & I am intrigued that you & only one other person I know who is educated is voting for him.

KimoRosen said...

Harmony, Note the title of this blog,"'Trump supporters must come out of the closet' meaning you know only two people who admit it, I guess is that it's more than you think? wink emoticon

Bettejo Dux said...

Whatever.

Harmony Bentosino said...

Maybe

Pete Antonson said...

Now I've read it twice and No, I did not miss the part where you say "I do not support his statements of racism, misogyny, and religious bigotry....but..."
The rather embarrassing statement that we all have prejudices and therefore should elect someone as a leader who is openly so; but, not yet against the group you belong to (due to family connections) means that you should sit on the beach and reflect on the utter darkness that surrounds the road you've been led down by being a big reality TV fan!

KimoRosen said...

Pete, Not everything is Black and white. Politicians on both sides are hypocrites and manufactured brands for their party. Many Americans are angry and would rather have a guy with a few off sound bites than a career politicians owned by Wall street and lobbyists.

Pete Antonson said...

OK, I think I have a good idea of the rationales at use here. Trump has "a few off sound bites," he'll keep his hands off the jews, and "Trump may have his prejudices but whom amongst us doesn't?" The author is saying: "Aw shucks, he doesn't really mean it, he's not coming after me so I don't care anyway, and, Boy Howdy Neighbor! We're all like Trump anyway!

Well, please excuse me from that last rationale. I have spent my entire life NOT sharing the thoughts or utterances of this puerile vulgarian called Trump!

Since "The Rush" was booted off Kauai airwaves nearly 10 years ago, there are some on Kauai that perhaps could say that "they didn't see this coming" in regards to Trump and his open racism, misogyny, and religious bigotry. But this has been on it's way for years now. Right wing radio kept it veiled in implied innuendo. In 2012, Romney winked at, joked about, and pandered to the "Birthers," a nasty, fundamentally racist affair of which Trump just happens to be the most prominent member.
I've had many, many opportunities for conversation with other older white American males who are at the same hotel or bar or on the same airplane or ship. Depending on my mood, I've answered the initial "test question" untruthfully, or vague enough, and then been able to evaluate a litany of vile, angry denigration of all who don't share the same race, gender, or core beliefs of the speaker. I evaluate communication professionally so I can clinically separate myself for the sake of a strong academic interest in the phenomenon. Don't try this at home!

The point is: this has been taken advantage of and nurtured for some time now by one political party which is now recoiling in abject horror at the prospects of reaping what they sowed!

Carrie Kneubuhl-Eckert said...

Kimo, Pete is inflicting words into your statement. You said "Trump might have his prejudices but who among us doesn't"? Who amount us hasn't sinned, people in glass houses should not throw stones". Pete shouldn't have thrown that stone out there to be scrutinized. All people have prejudices as you say Kimo, just as everyone running for president does. It is natural for humans and animals to be bias or liking of one group or another. Pete has prejudice for anyone rich, successful, and or republican. He is the epitome of racist. So he should not throw stones as you say as he is guilty of all of those. He sits on his soap box saying Trump supports misogyny. But he has also treated persons as a commodity or an object without regard to their personality or dignity ..
And more importantly Kimo, I don't like how he is talked down to you all these years!!

Carrie Kneubuhl-Eckert said...

To Pete Antonson;
I wish you could read your bullshit objectively..You are completely off your fuc:;%^ rocker. Your spew such hatred and nonsense. You must not be taking the right meds there in the Philippines. I think you have become more loony tunes since leaving the USA.

People voted for Obama twice!

Glenn Mickens said...

Sad but true, Kimo that the mass of people will follow anyone with notoriety over those that truly run our government. Why do you think that Reagan and Swertsneger got elected---they were known by their motion pictures and not by their political knowledge.
It also shows that the Rs are in complete political disarray with the circus they are running with the Donald as the circus master. He is a master at innuendoes and deceit but when he gets pinned down to the details he is in trouble. Sure, some of his sound bites are good but his hatred for people and women's rights are pathetic and I think he will flame out once going against the Ds.
Will be interesting.
Keep up the fine work,
Glenn

Pete Antonson said...

Hey, Glenn and I could do a little Stop Trump march together now that we're finally on the same side! I suggest the wonderful and worthy Eastside Bike Path!

You are amazing, Kimo---I can barely send and receive on this Mac (have to have my wife's help most of the time!!!) so have no idea about your blog, Facebook or any other of these IT world systems.
Mahalo,

Glenn Mickens said...

Regarding the path. When it was first built the restrictions for using 80% fed funds was that they had to be for transportation and not for recreation--Fed guidelines. As you said it is for recreational purposes and will never take one vehicle off the road--in fact it will probably put more vehicles on the road to get to the path except for the few who live close enough to walk to it.

And, Kimo, even if you love the path was it (1) a high priority project and (2) how does it cost $5.2 million per mile ( more like $10 million through the Wailua corridor) for a 10' wide slab of cement that is 4" thick??? It has taken over 10 years to complete 6 miles of this path and if it ever reaches Nawiliwili (which is very remote since Fed funds will not be there) it will cost 100 to 200 million dollars.

Our traffic, our solid waste, our homeless, the horrendous conditions of our roads and on and on---these are priorities that need addressing not a path that may be good for tourists that we don't need more of until we address our infrastructure. And the overbuilding of that path is pathetic but where are the Feds to monitor where OUR money is going???

These are my questions regarding the path plus why are we building more and more bike lanes along our roads (that narrows the roads for vehicles) when few if any people use them? As I keep saying, the mass of the people will NOT abandon their vehicles for any of the alternate means of transportation and I have facts to back up what I say---not dreams or innuendoes.

Yes, Kimo you can have the county managers job as long as you have the qualification---at least you support it and that is a big plus factor!!

Carrie Kneubuhl-Eckert said...

So I guess the dem's have a socialist to chose from or a known liar. Whoopee! Great choices people! And regarding the bike path Pete where you would love to do a little stop Trump March. Why don't you March right into the ocean so we don't have to hear from your egomaniac mouth anymore. 🏻

Richard Kallay said...

It's a good thing the republicans don't lie. They just make up their own facts

Carrie Kneubuhl-Eckert said...

They both lie. All politicians do. But cover ups and ignore national security go a bit beyond

Richard Kallay said...

If you check, they all have private servers that they use. It's not a new practice.

Glenn Mickens said...

I cannot believe that Pete and I would ever be on the same page but guess he doesn't want the Donald as much as I do.
At the KIF baseball game today (I am the official scorer and arbitrator ) one of the ball players dads was sitting next to me in the scorers both. He is a cement contractor and knows how I am a strong apponent of the bike path--at least this particular path. He said he could not believe the cost of that path ($5.2 million per mile!!) as he knows the cost of cement and for a 10' wide, 4" slab of cement he knows that something is very wrong. Strange how I have harped away for years about this cost and yet no one wants to investigate where the money is going no matter if you love the path or not.
And yet, we have people like JoAnn wanting to raise excise tax, fuel tax and weight tax before first finding our where the waste is going like with the path.
And this example is only one of the many that should be investigated before raising our tax one penny!!
Regards and thanks for the note from Pete.

Carrie Kneubuhl-Eckert and look where that got us. His disdain for America, Americans, our military, our veterans, Christians, Jews and our laws are as plain as the nose on his face. His love of Islamic jihadists and aiding the enemy are punishable by death. Congress has been complicit and should also be tried and convicted. Meanwhile, he continues to break our laws as he brings in more of his fellow Muslim terrorists. Barack Hussein Obama...his name alone should tell you whose side he is on.

Alice Monaghan said...

Why do Cain, West and Carson support Trump? Are you saying they are liars or they hate blacks? That race card died and was buried long ago. Pulling the race card shows how illiterate and desperate these liars are. Once the liar uses the race card you know you won the debate. It's their lame last line of defense. Race card users are the racist ones. Pathetic...

Again, I am amazed at the work you do with your blog---when do you sleep??? I love to read the likes and dislikes of the people and, as some writer in the paper said today, the GI needs to bring back these opinions.
If Bernie were the Ds nomination I could support him very well. I could care less if a person is black, white, yellow or brown or male or female or whatever religious faith AS LONG as he or she has a track record of helping the people of this country---all classes but particularly the lower and the disappearing middle class.
When I vote I want to make sure that my vote (if conflicts exists like they did with Carey and Nadar the independent) is for the one most likely to win and not having the independents vote take away from Gore which, in my opinion gave the Rs the victory.
Nadar was a fine choice just the same as Bernie is a fine choice but realistically Bernie is not going to make it and, hopefully not the Donald either.
Again, remember that with Hillary we are getting 2 for 1 with Bill being probably the best advisor anyone could have. Going to be an interesting race but just hope that those billionaire brothers (Koch) have wasted a lot of money trying to buy a race with a mule rather than a thoroughbred horse but actually there were no thoroughbreds in the race on the right!!
Mahalo and keep up the FINE work.
