Reflections of 2016
As this year comes to a close, I have begun to reflect on all those events and images that continue to run through my head. Family and friends health hurdles that we have survived, those who are no longer with us on this earth and those we are so thankful to still have with us.
I spend more time thinking of my own mortality and retirement since I am in my 60's now and wish like hell I could turn back the clock to those years when all our family and friends were still with us.
Once again I am reminded how fragile our lives are and how each day is a gift. I reflect on those who have touched my life and to those I have in some way touched as well and look forward to the future in anticipation.
As we once again spend our time with family and friends for the holiday season; I am grateful we can still continue our traditions and feel blessed at this time of year. No one is free from sadness in our lives but we all have the ability to re wind and remember what brings us happiness in the present and in the future.
I'm Giving thanks to the present and hope everyone can do the same. May you all continue to make happy memories and start 2017 with a mind set of good things to come.
