The recent sale of the Garden Island news to Oahu Publications did not account for an online comments moderator. I am hoping this is only temporary until details are tweaked out .
In the interim repeat after me, " my name is ___________ and I'm a commentaholic(sic) We Love you TGI!

beware of a one newspaper town,money buys vote & political advantage,I propose that Lady Obama the dog use Facebook as the voices of All people for their thoughts & opinions as long as they are thoughtful & respectful with benefits to all humanity .politicians don't have monopoly on good ideas ,that's why the country is in debt with two endless wars ,politicians should solicit & reward private citizens with good ideas."
Unc, the same company (Black Press) now owns The Garden Island News that owns The Star-advertiser and Midweek. Eventually Kaua'i may just be a section of the Star-Advertiser...Rumor has it they are looking to buy the Maui news too. Who knows eventually a one newspaper state? None the less at least we have a paper and I am thankful for that.
Poor citizens have no choice to voice their opinion,I found 2 on line free presses are the best ,they have news that the One % newspaper don't carry.I am going to look up their addresses for you.
