Climate Change
I am not a scientist, I try very hard not to indulge in name calling; but my husband was an engineer and he
taught me, 'if it can be measured, it's there'.
We are experiencing global warming. It can be measured. We can measure an extreme increase in CO2 since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.
We have a North West Passage for the first time in the history of mankind. Glaciers are calving and
melting at alarming rates. Seas are rising. There will be no snows on Kilimanjaro. Greenland could
be lost. The American South West will be a desert.
Man caused? Who knows.Please watch the excellent documentary HOME and decide for yourself.
A metaphor: if one cleans up a rats' mess in the hope it will clean out a rats' nest, isn't it better to give it a try?

It's amazing with all the scientific evidence out there, there are still deniers. I guess those are the sane type people that thought the world was flat back in the day...
I know a person who is an otherwise good friend, but this person doesn't believe in global warming & just trying to discuss it with her gets me so mad I can't think or talk.
She's probably afraid or very religious. Don't bother trying to talk to her. It's a waste of time. Be friends, talk about the weather. Love Bettejo
Interesting how people accept the evidence of climate change but then deny the evidence of biotechnology. Amazing.

How does one pick or choose science? I can't imagine there being a bad science or a good one. There's science with the evidence to support it.

Too many people also don't understand that it's not written in stone like the bible is. It's a process that builds knowledge over time with validation and replication. It's also odd how those "scientists" that have been coming to Hawaii to "educate" like Huber and now Hayes, can reject the evidence and not replicate their findings to make it more conclusive.
We discuss lots of other things, BettyJo, but your suggestion of the weather could lead right back to climate change!

one thing is inevitable in this blog is the writings of Bettejo Dux that are true from the heart,don't need to please anyone,just be your own independent self...I rather she scold me if I am wrong than butter me up with kind words because she's honest & a true friend that I can learn so much from.....n'est-ce pas ?

What you must understand about GMO's. Insecticides and herbicides are artificially introduced into a plant. Corn. These pesticides/herbicides are directly related to IG Farben a German--WW!!--super giant chemical enterprise. They developed the gas which Jews took 'showers' in during the holocaust. We discovered it also killed cockroaches. And bees
It is also the precursor of DDT, Agent Orange and Monsanto, DOW, Dupont and Bayor make plenty bucks selling this tuff.
And spraying everyone within spraying distance with these deadly toxins. You are breathing the stuff that killed the Jews, You are ingesting these poisins every time you eat an ear of corn.
Good way to kill cockroaches. Pop some store bought corn and leave it overnight in a dish. Do not be surprised to find some dead cockroaches in the mix. Sure you want to eat this stuff/
Oh la la,Bettejo you knew about IG Farben of Germany,I saw their office near Frankfurt,huge & beautifully constructed the allies spared their office in the mass bombing & use it for their office after the war !!!

you are right,depends on background,your last post yellow on dark bg was OK,I think yellow on white BG WAS bad,anyway,the post was useful & educational. lachayem beaucoup
