"Trump-fulling..." 'James "Kimo" Rosen' (Kimo's world #120)

James "Kimo" Rosen is a retired professional photographer
and amongst other things lived in a tent outdoors for 7 years.
Rosen currently resides on the tropical island of Kaua'i
with his best friend and spiritual adviser Obama Da Dog!

Please note that this blog also appeared as a stand alone

Kimo's world #120

Trump-fulling

Every-time I blog about Donald Trump I lose a  friend on Facebook and at times even in real life. I find it very "Trump-fulling."(~The act of losing friends, because you may endorse Donald J. Trump~)I just made that word up!

With over 1300 friends on Facebook I  have been trying to downsize for quite awhile. Being a Trump supporter has made downsizing quite  easy.

I enjoy meat--however I have many vegan friends, I am heterosexual--however have gay friends, I am a God fearing individual--yet have agnostic and atheist friends. It seems you cannot be a Donald Trump supporter and have  Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton friends, not because Trump supporters don't want to be friends, but because the Sanders and Clinton people are not the peace lovers they claim to be?

Who will be next to either not talk to me or un-friend me because my opinion may be different from yours?

My friend Christine Muscarella Frost recently shared a thread on her Facebook timeline that is  pretty much a sign of the times;
Chris has given permission to share her thread below;
"I can't wait until this election is over and done with. I'm so tired of seeing the HATRED posts that FB friends keep posting. Do you know if you don't like one or more of the people trying to get nominated by their party, all you're doing is keeping them in the limelight and drawing attention to them?! And yes, I do scroll past these hate posts, but it makes going on FB to see fun stuff challenging" Rant over.
Me~~"So ironic that the peace generation, our generation is spilling these hateful memes instead of positive memes about their own candidate."~~
Chris~~"I agree 100%. Maybe that's why it's really getting under my skin and driving me crazy? Some days that's all I feel like I see on FB and hear on the news."Christine Muscarella Frost

I have never seen so much hate directed at one political candidate, that of Donald J. Trump. The strangest part is much of the hate is being driven by an aged peace freak generation of the Vietnam  war protest generation.

Why so much hate from a group in their youth that wanted nothing more than peace?  My opinion, old age, dementia and drugs have taking their toll on many in my generation.

Why the lack of respect for the U.S. citizens voting for Trump? I on the other hand respect those voting for Hillary, Bernie, Cruz or any other, after all this is America. The tolerant Liberal is ALWAYS the most intolerant of other's views!!
This meme appeared on Facebook
to help promote this blog.
The Donald told me to do it!  ;-)

The TRUMP Haters are sick of reading, seeing and hearing about Trump, yet continue to post anti- Trump hate on their social media posts. Giving Trump exactly what he wants , more publicity. Doesn't anyone get it. This is exactly what Trump wants!  He's playing right into his haters and supporters, go figure!  Donald Trump really is a marketing genius.

May God, Darwin or whomever you pray to, bless America in this time of need. I really hope it's God, however I still respect you if it's Darwin-- because I'm not like the others whom don't respect others for not thinking like them.

This election thus far has been very Trump-fulling for me.Who wants to hop on board, potentially loose some friends, in the mean time "Making America Great again!"
Baby Theodore James Kushner pictured above with
Donald Trump's Jewish daughter, Ivanka.
Donald is denying his daughter named the child
after political GOP rival Ted Cruz!  ;-)

On a positive note; This past Easter Sunday, Ivanka Trump Kushner, 'The Donald's' Orthodox Jewish daughter gave birth to a baby boy named Theodore James Kushner.
Many are saying that Trump intentionally planned for his daughter to have a baby during this pressure cooker filled week to help the undecided voters. After-all who doesn't love babies?

Mazol Tov To Ivanka Trump Kushner on the birth of her baby boy! A special Bris will follow in eight days. The Bris is a special ceremony for the circumcision of Jewish boys.
Since I am Jewish, someone asked me if it hurts? My reply, I couldn't walk for a year!

haha! Honest is what I got from it. What we are saying is true. The more the haters promote their hate, the more they're putting him out there is front of everyone. He is a brilliant marketing and business man. That's what they all miss, in my humble opinion.

Totally, in fact at times, he may know he's a little off, but is doing it on purpose.
I've got 3 friends that for two years liked my sunrise photos, but won't like my sunrise photos anymore on FB because they think there is something drastically wrong with me because I like Trump....

Aloha Kimo,

You're a nice guy. But you were dead wrong on the Superferry, and you are dead wrong about Trump.

In his own inept way Trump is being honest (unlike others he is running against)... But he is a ego-maniacal carnival barker with little clue how the real world works. Like a toddler he likes things smooth and shiny - only now it's gold watches and women.

In your opinion...

That's the beauty of America. I respect your opinion. I realize not everyone will agree with me, not expecting it. I hope likewise.

It's not the Clinton & sander supporters that are intolerant!! Most of the backlash is coming from the conservative side!! The republicans do not want trump to be the nominee where Clinton & sanders would welcome it!! Every one is entitled to their opinion & to vote for whomever they choose!! That is the beauty of being an American!!

KimoRosen said...

Trumps getting it from both sides. The problem being the Republicans and Dems are afraid of loosing their cushy lobbying jobs. Trump thus far has been self funded and that scares Washington. All the other candidates are owned by someone, whether a pharmaceutical company , Kock brothers or Wall st. Trump answers to nobody.

The folks who unfriended you simply did not have the capacity to realize that discord does not mean dislike.

There are a lot of folks who think if you don't believe what they do, it's a personal attack.

I know what you're going through. Luckily, I've only had a few unfriendings.

Hopefully after the elections people's tempers will abate.

Cousin Ron asks why? ~~~A couple reasons, Clinton represents the epitome of old time Wall St. politics and feel she will be a huge target with Republicans if she gets in office. It will be one scandal after another, both old and new. At least Sanders and Trump are both new blood. ...And Cruz is just not even on my radar. The other reason, like a good football match-up, I feel Trump vs, Sanders will be much more fun to watch? Although Hillary would play a great game? Hmmmmm?

Pete Antonson said...

Hillary Clinton has a supported claim that only 3% of her
funds come from Wall Street. Her toughest critics have
support for their claim of 7%. Neither amount is significant!
Both Clintons made a lot of money giving 729 speeches since 2001. Only 39 of these were to Wall Street for less than 5% of the total proceeds. Even if the numbers were not so small, one does not automatically become the pawn of everyone who pays your speaking fee or contributes to your campaign.
Besides speaking fees, The Clintons also sold several best selling books. You may say that no puppies were harmed in the way the Clintons went from debt to wealth post White House!
So if you're going to characterize my candidate as a tool of
Wall Street, parroting the Bernie-bots and their single issue campaign, please be good enough to furnish some evidence!

Nikki Kauai said...

Hillary's husband Bill Clinton spent his last day in office writing the largest number of Presidential pardons in the history of the U.S.A. to his white collar friends like Mark Rich who went on to donate to the Clinton foundation. It was called Pardongate. Google it! The Clintons have done what we Anericans have come to learn most self serving career politicians do: work with the corporate elite and lobbyists and not the American people. There is an awareness and the tide is changing on the national level largely due to social media that will soon affect local politicians too.
I don't want a Monsanto President such as Hillary who has funded her Presidential campaign; this is the chemical giant behind GMO herbicide saturated and resistant seeds and unfortunately our food source (not to be confused with cross breeding and feeding world hunger). Most countries throughout the world, including India, have rejected GMOs and Monsanto's glyphosate, classified a cancer causing carcinogen. The GMO here in our country , is our American corn and soy. Soy is no longer healthy because it is a GMO herbicide saturated and resistent crop. These chemical and seed companies, Monsanto, Syngenta, DuPont, Pioneer went on to lobby in the Senate to fight against GMO labeling in our food. In this time of social media, the American people became educated and won against the Dark Act because of course we are entitled to know what our food source is. Gluten resistant? No way. Your wheat grew in a herbicide/pesticide saturated environment while everything else around it such as weeds died and still grew to become your loaf of bread. Your grandparents and parents certainly weren't gluten intolerant.
Monsanto has done enough damage to our local streams in run offs and continue spraying around our public schools in Hawaii despite legislation for buffer zones because they bought local politicians who tabled it indefinitely. I doubt Tsuji who was responsible for that in Maui cares much anyway; he appears elderly and willing to be the scapegoat to retire, quite nicely, I imagine. I can't help but wonder where his grandchildren attend school. He did such a horrible disservice to all the public school children on Maui to allow the spraying to continue. So a Monsanto backed President such as Hillary Clinton on a larger scale who has the largest corporate funded campaign war chest will spew relentless propaganda against Trump. We know our news media is corrupt and funded by that same elite and of course editors have owners and shareholders to answer to so the propaganda continues. We rarely receive real unbiased news anyway but slanted sensationalized propaganda. Americans are communicating to one another now so we need to revert back to electing public servsnts who represent us as 'we the people, of the people, for the people'. Get rid of these corrupt career politicians by voting them out.
Vote the outsider, Vote Trump 2016.

Aloha Kimo:
Mahalo for your fine editorial in the Garden Island. I may be wrong but I don't think you would vote for Trump or any radical like him but you would not make an enemy out of someone who supported him---the right given us by the first amendment. I have been a D all my life but I have a lot of friends who are Rs or Is and though we may not agree politically we can still have a lot of likes and be friends.

Personally I think Trump is a great showman, one of the best. His sound bites resonate with the masses and what they want to hear. But pin him down to the details of how he would accomplish these great sounding things (a wall that Mexico will fund!!!) and he double talks or remains silent. I would hate to think that we had a man like him as President who had his hand on that A bomb trigger!!

I support Hillary as we could have 2 ro 1 if she were elected--Bill would undoubtedly be her advisor. Under his watch we had a balanced budget for the first time in decades and he left office as one of the most respected Presidents we ever had.

I like Bernie also and what he says and I would whole heartedly support him if he is the nominee. But I believe that Hillary would be the best to go against Trump or whoever the Rs nominate.

Again, just my opinion.
Glenn

KimoRosen said...

Glenn,

Yes, he is a showman, everything I write about him creates many hits. With that said...

I have been an Independent my whole life. I vote for the person I feel will lead best, not the party. I feel all politicians are owned by the largest contributors, like it or not Trump is self sponsored thus far. It scares Washington. Lobbyists will be out of work. Politicians will not have their cushy 5000,000 a year lobbying jobs with pharmaceutical companies and Wall St. to retire too, that's what's scaring Washington.

Trump has run business, none of these politicians have any real life experience, you talk about having a count manger vs. a mayor.

Trump has experience in business and running people. He is playing people now for votes, he will be different come the general, the guy is a genius, you need to look beyond black and white.

Kimo

Glenn Mickens said...

Aloha Kimo:
I too would like to vote for the person and not just the R or D but one is always voting for the best of the worst whether R or D and for me the one who has the best chance of winning and represents the interests of the people is the D. I played pro ball a good part of my life and we never had a union or representation like they have today. The reserve clause was in effect and you played for the team that owned you or you quit and carried the lunch pale. When the Dodger would not give me another crack at the parent club from the 1955 AAA club ( I was 12 & 3 with a 2.16 ERA and we won the pennant--I roomed with Drysdale and he was 11 and 11) and I went back to Montreal the next year I decided that I would not play again for the Dodgers. I asked them to give me my release or trade or sell me but they said no one wanted me but they would not release me so I could try to get on another club.

So, I went to Japan (considered outlaw baseball) and they treated me great and I ended my career there.

Since you have been an independent all your life why not stay with Bernie and not Trump? I like Bernie and the things he says and will have no problem voting for him if Hillary doesn't make it. But, as I said, Trump scares me when he degrades women and people he doesn't like and he has zero experience with foreign nations.

So, my friend, we will just have to agree to disagree with this one---I even like Kasich better than the rest of the donkeys that the Rs have been running but he is a long long shot. I really liked Ralph Nadar when he ran as an independent but in the real world it was obvious he wasn't going to make it so I voted for Gore. And Ralphs votes taken away from Gore cost him the election (in my opinion) so when the race is close and I didn't want a Bush I had to go with my second choice, Gore.

Keep up the fine work.
Mahalo,
Glenn

"Hope you got a chance to see Chris Mathews interview Trump last night on MSNBC, its was outstanding. When Trump is backed against the wall by questions (Mexico will pay for a wall to keep their citizens in Mexico!!!! or for us to leave the UN or become an isolationist county ) he does the usual politician jitterbug by asking another question instead of answering the question given him--politics at its best or should I say worst. Just like the fact check on debates that show just how many falsehoods these politicians tell.

The main theme Mathews pushed to Trump was his solution to all these woes. He said to just "walk" when no resolution can be reached which is really no solution at all. Obama stuck with diplomacy with Iran and it is working---would walking away from it have solved anything--I don't think so.

Well, my friend, we will see how it plays out and the "world series of politics is yet to come" and will be quite a show. You make some good statements about Trump and if I thought he were the right kind of man I would agree with you. But he is so hateful with people or issues that he doesn't agree with (women's rights, painting all minorities with one broad brush a la Muslims) that he scares me to want to lead this nation. And, again, we will just have to agree to disagree on this one and see what happens."

Keep up the fine work---still don't know how you stay on top of it all.

Glenn

KimoRosen said...

Yea, saw it, the Donald was tired.... no excuse.

The truth is, I do not like Washington politicians and believe 99.9% are all crooks and liars including Hillary and Bernie.

So why not at least elect somebody who has real life experience, instead of a career politicians who knows nothing about real life?

Glenn Mickens said...

Yep, still badly want a country manager---one like 51% of the municipalities have across the country. I don't think a comparison can be made with a county or city having a manager to what a President encounters---oranges to apples. This manager is tasked with doing what the Council along with the Mayor who sits on the council tells him to do whereas the President must have the Congress and Senate behind him to accomplish anything. Yes, he has certain powers like appointing a Supreme Court justice but without congressional and senate power behind him he is very limited.

A manager must be neutral with experience to carry out what he is told to do and if he doesn't do the job he can be fired.
A president can be impeached but the charges are not for small issues so, again I do not believe the comparisons can be made. We are still fighting our rears off to get 5 members of the council to put the issue on the ballot for the people to vote up or down and we are making more progress than we did 10 years ago---whether it will be enough is to be seen.
Always the best.

Something seriously wrong with Trump supporters
James “Kimo” Rosen’s article was pure irony. He complains of “hate” and losing friends because he supports Donald Trump. Physician cure thyself.
I love a good political debate with conservatives. We can talk taxes, the role of government, even the wisdom of military ventures.
But Donald Trump is not about politics as usual. He is about hate. If you support him, you support hate; pure and simple. Building walls, oppressing other religions, misogynist statements, overt racism, inciting violence is not the political norm. It is dangerous to our society — it is beyond the pale. It is not aloha. If you support Trump; you might as well get a T-Shirt that says “I’m Stupid.” This is not a person who should be anywhere near the White House.
In the final analysis, his rise in the Republican Party says more about how far we have to go than anything he personally says or does. We all must stand against hate — and if you lose friends because they support hate — they are not worth having as friends. Again, civil debate and a difference of opinion is one thing.
But the hate that comes from Donald Trump is a whole new level of political discourse that the majority of people need to reject en mass.
Richard Robinson

Alice Monaghan said...

Richard Robinson... The only hate I see is from you! Your hate letter shows how you are completely out of touch with reality. Spreading lies and propaganda against Donald Trump is pathetic. How has he spread hate? The hate from protestors hired by Bernie Sanders proves to me it's not Donald spreading hate, it's the left loons. Building a wall to keep our country safe is a moral obligation. We have many illegal criminals bringing drugs, raping and murdering our citizens only to be rewarded with sanctuary cities protecting them. It is well documented that Islamic extremists are entering through our open borders daily. It's a proven fact Richard. Liberals have no desire to protect us from terrorists that have vowed to kill us and bring jihad to cities across the country. You must be living in another demension if you think we are not at war with Islamic terrorists. Prove to me when Donald Trump has a vendetta against religious freedom. Prove to me how he has spread hate. I guess if you enjoy high unemployment, businesses leaving this country, leaving our vets to die in the streets and politicians being controlled by foreign countries while stuffing their pockets with payoffs, you might want to consider another country to reside in. Don't think you will be able enjoy the freedom to spew your rhetoric though. What is all this hate??? The fact that the American people don't want to be killed by maniacal Islamic terrorists, the fact that the schools have been destroyed by Common Core, the fact that the military has been decimated, the fact that our allies especially Israel can't trust us anymore, the fact that the health insurance costs have gone thru the roof and that good doctors are leaving the profession because of oBAMACARE, the fact that because of the war on coal whole regions of the country are dead, because there are 95 million people either unemployed or left the search, 45 million people on food stamps and illegal aliens are entering our country and allowed to stay, get free education, free housing, free college, get free health insurance, a license and the ability to vote. Your 'fan' is a hateful lib who obviously has never had any of these things impact his/her perfect utopian socialist life. Trump has no hate, but he hates what is happening and he is reflecting the sentiments of many of the US citizens..notice I said citizens. America-loving citizens. We'll help anyone, but ON OUR TERMS..not yours. If Trump's so upsetting, dear 'fan', then leave and join Bernie in Cuba or Russia and see how happy you are.

In response to Richard Robinson letter on April 2nd. "Something seriously wrong with Trump supporters"

I can see where the liberals and the corporations are afraid of the free speaking Trump. He speaks what is on the minds of many Americans even though his delivery is not "politically correct". He addresses many issues that are harming America. I don't often agree with his execution, but I do like that he is not a career politician that plays the Washington games. That has not worked in the past.

You mention Trump is racist and oppresses other religions, and is misogynist. ( sounds like a Pete Antonson letter) . Well I can see where you might not have heard from the liberals that we have Muslim extremists that want to kill us. They cannot even utter the word Muslim extremist. They say jihadist as not to offend anyone. Heaven forbid we offend the religion who says the west is evil. The mast majority of Muslims in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq etc, consider themselves fundamentalist. Do the homework. That means Syria law. Hilary says the idea of newcomers posing a danger " is not who we are". The nations top security experts say they cannot vet individuals coming from high security nations. But the liberals are kumbaya, ya'all come over here! Sorry, I am not for that and I admire a person that is not afraid to say it.

They say Trumps rhetoric is what insights Muslims to terrorism. Really! Think about that stupid statement. Let me see, oh yes, I can see where Trump insights the Muslim extremist to rape, kidnap, cut off heads, and mutilate anyone who is not like them. Hmmm...and Trump doesn't like woman. Some woman I suppose, I don't like some women either. But he sure has a host of women and gay women working in top positions for him. The abortion statement was careless, but who among us hasn't made a statement they regret.

And finally "it is not Aloha". I lived in Hawaii for 5 years. I didn't get much of that Aloha. I was treated different than the locals even thought I was raised on a tiny island for a majority of my life.

It is your choice, like everyone else, to vote for a candidate knowing the facts. You have belittled people who do not think as you do. I choose not to vote for a Democratic socialist. I choose not to vote for Hilary who has a long record of wrong doing and lying to the people she serves. She has proven not worthy of my vote.

Pure and simple, your letter was hateful. There was no need to call anyone wearing a Trump t-shirt stupid. In the "Aloha Spirit", you owe Kimo an apology.

They say Trump’s rhetoric is what incites Muslims to terrorism. Really! Think about that stupid statement. Hmmm … and Trump doesn’t like woman. Some woman I suppose, I don’t like some women either. Trump not the one spreading ill will
Richard Robinson (TGI, April 2), your letter shows how you are completely out of touch with reality. Spreading lies and propaganda against Donald Trump is pathetic. How has he spread hate? The hate from protesters hired by Bernie Sanders proves to me it’s not Donald spreading hate. Building a wall to keep our country safe is a moral obligation. We have many illegal criminals harming our citizens only to be rewarded with sanctuary cities protecting them.
It is well documented that Islamic extremists are entering through our open borders daily. It’s a proven fact. Liberals have no desire to protect us from terrorists that have vowed to kill us and bring jihad to cities across the country.
You must be living in another dimension if you think we are not at war with Islamic terrorists. Don’t think you will be able enjoy the freedom to spew your rhetoric though.
Insulting those of us that support Donald and his desire to save this country from sinking into the abyss makes you look simple and foolish.
