John McCain's last hurrah, the worlds going to hell
The world is changing, tweets from the white house remain breaking news. While everyday people live-stream their lives on social media trying to go viral in a narcissist world and make news of themselves.
Politics is no longer about helping the America people but about the two major political parties at war with each other and not caring what happens to the common man.
I long for the days of John F. Kennedy and although a Democrat was respected by all Americans at a time when most believed in Kennedy's
most famous quote from his inauguration speech, "Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.”
This past week on social media a female teenager live streamed while driving drunk and crashed her car and kept filming as her sister laid dying. (The world's going to hell)

The other incident in Florida, a man drowning in a lake was mocked by teenagers as he screamed for help as they teased, laughed and posted the event to Facebook. There is no law against not helping a fellow man in distress. You would think moral laws would kick in when you see someone drowning? Better to get a viral video than save a life is the thinking of many? (How sad)

What really got my goat and believe it should get to anyone with a conscious whom
has some sort of empathy for those whom may have been diagnosed with brain cancer are the words of hate directed towards Senator John McCain.
Here is a sampling of what the American public had to say about Senator McCain, a war hero, one time GOP presidential nominee and maverick.
The war hero has cancer and this is what some Democrats circulate. This is a disgrace. People want world peace, it will never happen! Just look at our own political system at war. |
I find the comments below a disgrace to even be published about an American patriot. It doesn't matter if your a Republican or Democrat. John McCain is an American hero and the below comments are a small sampling of what America has become. I am ashamed.
(Below quotes copy and pasted from Facebook)
"I felt bad for this man when he found out about his cancer.... now I hope it flourishes into something that will spread like a weed!!! Bye Felicia!!!"
"I've never said this about a human before but I hope that cancer kills that POS Traitor quickly and painfully."
"There will be assassinations and rioting in the streets. These Sicko Republicans underestimate the violence of the American people when they get screwed, period. McCain will be dead soon, so he doesn't really care. He is all full of bluster, always was."
"I have always supported John McCain. I am now done with him. He could have stopped this circus and not lost face and he went anyway.
hope he feels every minute of pain from his illness! Just like every child and elderly person he just hurt. He has great health care while others suffer."
"Just lost my faith and respect.... I guess he had more than cancer in the head. Unfortunately, surgeons can't fix that."
"This prick is possibly knocking on deaths door and then pulls this shit decision!! I'm still in shock!! When they removed that clot they must have removed the part of his brain that feels compassion and caring."
The final vote to replace Obamacare went like this;
When Senator John McCain of Arizona returned to D.C. with a fresh scar from his brain surgery, it was primarily seen as a measurable effort to help Republicans overturn Obamacare.
The Republican senator offered a brief explanation of his vote
"I thought it was the right thing to do. He actually voted against his own political party and voted with his heart for what he felt was best for the American people, not just what was best for the Republican party. He also shocked all those commenters on social media whom need to now eat their words, John McCain is the true meaning of mensch and maverick!
McCain left his intentions secret until the end, then cast his vote in a dramatic fashion, walking to the middle of the floor, holding his arm out and then giving a thumbs-down.
God bless Senator McCain an American Hero and Patriot! |
Senator John McCain, an American patriot in these days of partisan politics are few and far between.
McCain has the same kind of brain cancer that Biden's son Beau died of in 2015. Biden called McCain before the crucial vote, the call was said to be emotional besides an obvious lobby call. |
I hate to repeat myself, but I must," ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.” -John F. Kennedy's Inaugural Address, January 20, 1961

MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA and Senator John McCain!

I feel sorry that your blog is so cynical. I've heard nothing but praise for McCaine who cared enough to vote against repealing Obamacare when he is so sick with brain cancer.
Don't feel sorry, I love MC Cain, I was only pointing out what was said about him. I didn't make it up, all facts.
Shalom Rabbi : (via email)
Good on on John McCain,he did his best while in the service & can do the same in civilian life .Vive John McCain.
Another Kimo blog goes in Unc C's treasured folder.

Hopefully next time your blog will have SOME uplifting news mixed in? That was incredibly depressing.
I didn't find it depressing... SORROWFUL TRUTH is more accurate...
Yes, Kimo it is a shame that anyone, black or white, R or D or whatever could possibly say what was said about McCain. He is one our finest war heroes and nothing will ever change that. And none of these foul mouthed people INCLUDING Trump who said he was not a hero since he was captured but the other guy who was not captured was the hero who said these horrible things about McCain have a clue.
And I am even more proud of John for getting off the operating table and coming to the Senate to vote no on a health care issue that needs fixing and should not be done away with.
And I will never forget McCain at a meeting regarding Obama where some woman told him that Obama was rotten or some derogatory term and John told her that she was wrong and that he was a good person!
Hard to believe that people are so cruel and misunderstanding as to wish anyone bad when they are fighting for their lives.
Your pal,
Glenn
This is what Mr. Mickens was speaking of, one of John McCain's most memorable moment during his run fir GOP president back in 2008 defending Obama while he was running against him, now that's a mensch!

John McCain, a true mensch~

Thank you Kimo for digging up the moment I was talking about with McCain and "that" woman. I was proud of him then and am prouder of him today for what he is trying to do for the people and not for himself or his party. Let's hope that he can fight this tumor the same way he fought so many other obstacles he has had in life.
I do not think anyone can realize what he went through in those 5 years of captivity with the Japanese ALONG with the broken bones he suffered bailing our of his plane and then getting beat up by the Japanese. CNN had a complete story on his bail out and capture and I have to believe that not many other people could have sustained that treatment and lived---he must have an amazing body as well as an amazing will to survive!!
And then to come back and be our Senator from Ariz and even run for President---truly amazing. He should forever be held up to our nation as a hero amongst all heroes and never forgotten.
And, Kimo, it amazes me the way you are able to come up with people or issues that I talk about in your blog---how do you do that?
Keep up the fine work.
Your pal,
Glenn,
It's called Google! ;-)
Yes, Kimo, I can use Google but once it goes beyond getting the info it is above my pay grade!!! Your having the time and the know how to get it on your blog is amazing but glad you know what to do and do it!
