People vote for their friends and relatives, the only people that vote for the issues are people that
don't have friends or relatives running for public office, and those people are few and far between here on the 'Cosmic Garden island.'
That time of year is coming where election signs will litter our roads and highways |
Ask yourself when voting for Mayor, would I hire this person to run my business and trust this person with my personal checking account? It's not a matter of who you
would rather have a beer with and talk story. It's a matter of who can solve the islands problems. Who can actually create affordable housing, help the homeless situation, alleviate traffic and create more roads and fix the existing roads?
County council chair, Mel Rapozo is a front runner in the Kaua'i Mayoral race.... |
Last but not least who has the chutzpah to demand public bus stop benches not be used as
apartments and demand squatters leave to make space for bus patrons especially the disabled and our kupuna.
El Aina has occupied the Bus stop fronting the Kapaa neighborhood center for the last 16 months. The county passed new ordinances in hopes she would leave , however no change at this point? |
Study the resumes of the candidates, it doesn't matter who has the better wave or better smile, who will make the better CEO of our cosmic Island and pull us out of our problems in a pono manner?
This method should be applied to all political candidates. I have also learned you don't need to tell people whom your voting for, voting is a personal matter.
If only I had heeded my father's
advice, he always told me to never discuss politics or religion outside the immediate family. That's why there is a privacy curtain in the voting booth.
Councilman Derek Kawakami, is running for Mayor of Kauai. |
I have decided to keep whom I am voting for a secret. I will not say the name of my candidates in this column. The last presidential election got me into a lot trouble
telling people who I was voting for. I will give you a hint whom my candidate for Mayor is. It's one of the Rapozo's and it 'ain't' Lenny.
Director of Parks and recreation, Lenny Rapozo is also running for Mayor... |
Vote for the right people, the ones with passion, who will give it their all and get the job done.
Don't just vote because somebody is your sista's friends bruddah, unless of course that bruddah happens to be Patsy Rapozo's husband whom is currently the Kauai county chair. Aren't you glad I didn't say whom I was voting for Mayor, the choice is yours? 'Dilly Dilly!'

Don King to sponsor Trump and Biden prize fight (sic)
President Donald Trump is lashing out at Joe Biden for wanting to "beat the hell out of him," saying the former vice president "would go down fast and hard, crying all the way."
Don King the famous prize fight promoter should arrange a charity match between Biden and Trump, all Proceeds to go towards the winners political choice. Trump could use the winnings for his wall, Biden could use the winnings to launch his 2020 campaign for president or for his charity, the Biden foundation.
King said the fight would be the largest grossing sporting event in world history, even to surpass the Super bowl---estimated to gross over 100 billion in just Pay per view alone. The winner is guaranteed a record purse of 75 billion and the loser 20 billion, not million, but billions! Biden responded, "Trump the baboon is no dummy and has something here with this name calling thing, I like it, I like the attention, I like the money..!" $$$Oy!

Forget the fights and lets just get someone elected that has the guts to represent we, the people and not worry about their getting reelected not their looking after those who bankrolled them into office. I personally believe that Mel is the person and am backing him.

The bench has been removed from the bus stop that front's the Kapaa neighborhood center...
