Publishers note;
Aloha Readers,
I do not like modern day politics. The hate, the witch hunts, he said, she said's, the lies, the deceits has ruined many lives.
The 'Me too' movement has everyone, not only politicians walking on pins and needles. You must be careful on your public image, don't show too much affection, empathy or love towards your friends or fellow Americans or you may find yourself a victim of the fake news media or a nasty witchhunt...

Tulsi Gabbard may have a hard time running for president, after all, she is from Hawaii, and people who live in Hawaii develop the 'Aloha spirit' which means a lot of hugs and kisses.
Tulsi has one thing going for her, she's a woman, a woman can get away with touching, hugging and kissing, whereas a guy will be called out on it as if he's a career criminal or a rapist in this new 'Me too' era as recently seen with Joe Biden.

It saddens me that people can no longer show affection.   I am not a Biden supporter, in fact, just the contrary, however, give the man a break, This man lost his first wife and 13-month-old daughter in an auto accident and recently lost
another son to brain cancer. I believe it's because of the empathy and love he received from these tragedies is why he is loving towards others, and although he is not from Hawaii or Kamaaina has shown an aloha spirit, which many have looked at as offensive?

It doesn't matter who you support, this holier than thou attitude of showing empathy and love towards
your friends, neighbors, political supporters and bringing incidents up from 30, 40 and even 50 years ago needs to stop. The witch hunts by both major political parties must end.

Just imagine if national politics took place on the Hawaii stage, with, hugs, kisses, and leis? Mueller would be busy year round and the fake news media would be like kids in a candy store.

Hawaii residents running for national
office may have to tone down their aloha spirit in this new era of "Me too" This is a sad statement that the world is pushing away politicians that truly care.

Just imagine running for political office and being called out on a lie someone made up about you that happened 30 years ago or being called out for trying
to comfort and showing a fellow American some empathy? What politician is next to be witch-hunted? You can be certain the fake news media will do all they can to ruin more lives, it's what they enjoy, their ratings soar, and how they make money.

Aloha Kimo:

Just a note to congratulate you for getting the headline article in the Forum today--fine article, Kimo and oh so true! Wonder why they spelled your name wrong under your picture but had it right otherwise.
And, I also agree with you about touching. All my adult life I have put my hands on someone's shoulder when I am talking---just a habit wanting to emphasize what I am saying with no other intention intended. I once did it to a KPD officer in the council chambers and he asked that I do not touch him but that is the only time anyone has ever said anything except to thank me.

I am still fighting this low blood pressure problem and getting light headed and having to be careful not to fall. But I am hanging in there and hope to get back to normal soon.

Keep up the fine work and great pictures!

Your pal,

Glenn

Aloha Glenn,

Hoping to see you back in action soon.

So sad to see what's happened because of the Me too movement. Folks are scared to be themselves...
