"Picking about..." 'Obama da Dog'

Obama Da Dog gets involved in many political scenes on the Cosmic Garden Isle...

Call us 'Nitpickers, Nat-pickers or even  No-see-um pickers, all that is wanted is to better the cause at hand.

There  are clouds of thousands of  nits and nat's this time of year all over Kaua'i. The other day riding my bicycle in Kapa'a town I rode through a swarm of nat's, they covered my shirt, face and sunglasses, they got all in my hair and mouth, it was not a fun experience.

Gnats are actually flies. They go by numerous names inclusive of punkies,Buffalo gnats, Buffalo flies, eye gnats, black flies, hippelates flies, no-seeums and just plain old nats. Most Gnats bite.

Open dismantling from  my bicycle I thought of  Glenn Mickens and Alfred Lauretta (two local nitpickers, or watchdogs as they prefer to be called....) exchanging barbs about what  defines a nitpicker, as I began removing and picking off of my body  all the nit's and nat's, does this make me a nitpicker or a natpicker?  I  actually prefer no see-um-picker....

Whether your a nitpicker, natpicker, or no-see-um-picker, all pickers want one thing, to better Kaua'i, or their host city and any other thing they happen to be picking about.

As an outsider, I am interest...ed, but reserve comment for those who have to live with both the benefits and consequences on an ongoing basis, and don't feel it is the place of occasional visitors such as myself to butt in."

Doug, you can have an opinion! Imagine an island in the middle of the south Pacific with no ferry service? Because a few radicals who are from places like California don't want drug dealers coming to our island, like drug dealers never fly? This blog wasn't about the Super-ferry it was about Nits and Nats and nit-picking ;D)

Harmony, Mahalos you explained it well, no need for me to explain since you did it 4-me! Thanks...
