My friend's have given up asking me do to things with them, since I always make excuses and say thanks but no thanks.
There is nothing more enjoyable than a day of just winging it.
There is no stress, you start out with one goal, you may want to go swimming, from there your serotonin kicks in and you go for a 5 mile bike ride in search of a ripe papaya, mango or avocado tree to pick from. You find a few coconut's instead and are happy with your lot, so you head back towards home...
The above is a true to life scenario of a day in my life.
When I lived in Japan my girlfriend and I would plan to go out to dinner, we would walk the streets until there was a good smell or a good vibe and we walked into the place, if we walked in and got a bad vibe we walked out and found another place.
If you do not work and do not have to be somewhere everyday at a certain time, try winging it, even if you have a job wing with a dinner date.
A scheduled date will never be the same after you soar like an eagle and wing it...

"What is a TIP?.."
What is a TIP.
A tip is something you give a waitress or waiter (or excuse me should I say server,) for providing excellent service and promptness.
I find service is overall poor in most restaurants and despise giving a tip.
In Japan where restaurant service is the best in the world, tipping is non-existent. The servers are polite and act as if they care, and if you leave money on the table they come running after you, thinking you accidentally left it behind.
Recently I was in a video store where there was a tip jar at the checkout center, I have seen tip jars are at many coffee shops and short order restaurants.
Where is tipping going to stop? Imagine tip jars at the grocery store and the convenient stores?
The people who deserve tips, never get them, that's the person emptying bedpans in the hospital.
I have a tip for everyone reading this blog, if you like this letter blog you can send me a tip through pay-pal. After all at least I am on time, and TIP means (to insure promptness.)

"Stupid humor by me..."
"Stupid humor by me..."
Since there is now a thing called Turkey ham, I am waiting for the invention of Ham turkey, there is in fact smoked turkey which does taste a lot like ham, but no such thing as Ham turkey. I want to see "them" (whoever them is) make a ham out of a turkey.
I have many friends who boast of being vegetarian, they say," I'm a vegetarian but I eat fish and chicken, my reply is always, I'm a vegetarian but eat meat.
These people are crazy, they believe they are vegetarian, I guess we are all vegetarian's, even cannibals can be vegatarians, with the above method of thinking.
My Vegan friends say they do not eat anything with a face, I say it depends on how pretty her face is.
The easiest place in the world to be a police sketch artist, that is taking information from victims of crime of what their perpetrators look like is Japan since everyone in Japan looks alike, being a police sketch artist is a very easy job, because whoever you draw will look like the criminal.
Imagine if gay marriage were legal in Hawaii and let's say a homosexual couple got into a fight, would it be a cockfight?
I was skyping a friend of mine whose in his mid 70's, he was using his daughters webcam on her laptop and he thought if he moved in closer he would see me better, all I saw was his right eyeball, and he kept asking how he looked, I said eye eye eye...
I am 55 years old and nerver made it to the stage, as my father used to say, next one leaves in 20 minutes...

"Mobile lunch wagons..."
Better get extra scoop with that plate lunch
The price of food in restaurants on Kauai is representative of a tourist economy within an oil crisis. For the most part, heavily overpriced with small portions and poor service.
Everyone likes a good deal and with the advent of a couple of new lunch wagons in the Kapaa area I became excited since I thought great deals, local grinds. To my surprise, these mobile lunch wagons are charging as much and more as sit-down diners with full service. Burgers for $10, plate lunches for $14 and $15. These wagons are supposed to be an alternative, they do not have all the expenses of a full-service restaurant, they don't even have restrooms, this implies savings to the consumer, right? Wrong.
These wagons never seem to have any business. May I recommend a $5 plate lunch special, get people to try your grinds, get some business get established, do the math, sell 100 plates for $5, that's better than selling three plates for $14.
Until such time as these mobile lunch wagons change their ways, I'm sticking with Costco hot dogs and Burger King.
p.s. in Hawaii, the "Plate lunch" is isusually, an entree, rice, chow mein, macaroni salad, or green salad and or kim chee, the pl;ate lunch itself will be a future blog...

" What do you do?..."
What do you do is the number one social question in our society. What do you do refers to what you do for money, to earn a living. Many people ask this question as a prerequisite to see if you meet their expectations and standards. If you are not a doctor or lawyer, they move on...
When I am asked what I do, I say, "a lot, I get up, brush my teeth, stretch, pray, have coffee and breakfast, shower, and then I watch the View, do a little gardening, go for a bike ride with my dog, have lunch, go to the public pool, look for deals at the grocery store, and then I stop at the chinese restaurant to garbage pick my dogs dinner on my way home."
The list is endless of what I do.
Please do not ask what I do, ask my name, tell me your name and say Aloha, everything else will fall in place and divinity will rein.

"Human power..."
If one cannot afford solar power another great alternative never really brought up is human power.
I was recently speaking with a former Kauai county employee and he has an idea he does not mind me sharing...
Human power like solar or wind would be another great alternative. This is how it works. The county, state or any private enterprise could set up a a beautiful state of the art gym, with stationary life-cycle bicycles, stair steppers, running machines, rowing machines, etc... collecting the energy from everyone's workout. Cards would be issued after your workout to show the amount of energy you contributed, the people stay in shape, after all without our health life is much more difficult.
With the energies being collected from the persons workout one could get a free health club membership, the business, state or county gets energy to be converted to electric. The islands have one one of the highest per capita diabetes and obesity among the young. This concept would be a win win for everybody.
"Twenty years..."
Have you ever seen the photo's woman columnists have posted, they are usually from a time much earlier in their careers?
I was recently looking at my women friends photo's on facebook and thought to myself, man she looks great, she hasn't aged in twenty years.
The fact of the matter is that many women , maybe even a few men post photo's of themselves many years younger than their current situation.
I am hoping to get a computer enhanced image of how I would look twenty years from now. I am going to post my photo as I will look twenty years from now, in this way when people meet me in person after actually viewing my photo they will say, "You look so young."
Well ladies, what do you think?
