Kimo's World #84

 Writers block and Sunrise inspiration

It's finally happened, writers block! After posting over 1600 blogs the last 6 years I have covered every subject imaginable to mankind.

What does a guy with a blog do when he runs out of material to write about?

I got it, I'll post some sunrise photos with quotes!

You'll probably enjoy this more than me ranting and raving about politics or my next door neighbor  that blows smoke into my windows.

For 200 consecutive days I photographed the sunrise from the lanai of my residence. Enclosed is a small sampling of the photos along with inspirational quotes from friends. My hope is that at least one of the enclosed inspirational sunrise memes reaches out and touches you.

Maybe I should get writers block more often?  ;-)

Kimo's world thanks all contributors for their quotes!

P.S.~ 3 of these have never been seen, they are upcoming on Facebook! Can you tell which ones?

"So long summer..." 'Judith Whitehead' (Inspiration Sunday)

Judith Whitehead lives in Amherst New York
( A suburb of Buffalo, N.Y.)
and has worked in the ophthalmology
field of medicine for over 30 years

So long summer

I see our summer come to an end so quickly.  I  reflect on the great last few months we have had. It was a great season for growing flowers and plants, watching robins and swallows hatch on my very own front porch--spending time out doors eating and visiting with friends and so enjoying the thin layer of clothing the summer rewards you with.
Summer brought beautiful flowers
to Judy's garden

My final so long to summer will culminate with a trip out west soon where the temps average in the 90's this month.

The days are getting shorter and darkness begins to fall at 8pm now.

Fall is also a nice time of year here watching the leaves change and cover the ground but it only reminds me of the 'W' word which will come soon enough. No one appreciates their summers as we easterners.
A beautiful summer sunrise over
Judy's crib.

Today we will have warm thunderstorms which we need the rain -- we'll take anything as long as it isn't  the white stuff.

Judy, Judy, Judy!  ;-)

Kauai sunrise memes can be seen daily on James Kimo Rosen's Facebook Timeline.

"Full Diagnosis..." 'Obama Da Dog' (Source)

Obama Da Dog is a life long resident of Hawaii.
Obama  can be seen cruising Kapa'a town
with her best friend James "kimo" Rosen!

Full Diagnosis

A woman brought a very limp duck to a veterinary surgeon. As she laid her pet on the table, the vet pulled out his stethoscope and listened to the bird's chest. After a moment or two, the vet shook his head sadly and said, "I'm sorry, your duck, Cuddles, has passed away."

The distressed woman wailed, "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am sure. Your duck is dead," replied the vet.

"How can you be so sure?" she protested. "I mean  you haven't done any testing on him or anything. He might just be in a coma or something."

The vet sighed, turned around and left the room. He returned a few minutes later with a black Labrador Retriever. As the duck's owner looked on in amazement, the dog stood on his hind legs, put  his front paws on the examination table and sniffed the duck from top to bottom. He then looked up at the vet with sad eyes and shook his head.

The vet patted the dog on the head and took it out  of the room. A few minutes later he returned with  a cat. The cat jumped on the table and also delicately sniffed the bird from head to foot. The cat sat back on its haunches, shook its head, meowed softly and strolled out of the room.

The vet looked at the woman and said, "I'm sorry,  but as I said, this is most definitely, 100% certifiably, a dead duck."

He turned to his computer terminal, hit a few keys and produced a bill, which he handed to the woman. The duck's owner, still in shock, took the bill. "$150!" she cried, "$150 just to tell me my duck is dead?!?"

The vet shrugged. "I'm sorry. If you had just taken my word for it, the bill would have been $20, but with the Lab Report and the Cat Scan, it's now $150."
