Happy Birthday Dakinetalk blog~
Editors forward
I have published 1886 dakinetalk blogs in the last 7 years.
dakinetalk is starting it's 8th year!
The first year it was all me, then in the second year dakinetalk teamed up with a few guest-bloggers. Teaming up with other bloggers was the best move for the ongoing popularity of the blog.
I want to thank everyone who has ever guest blogged. I want to mention names however I am afraid I may miss recognizing someone, therefore this is a big Mahalo Nui Loa to anyone who has ever contributed to dakinetalk.
Most important to the popularity are the many readers including you reading this right now. There are days we reach 900-1,000 viewers, our average day brings in well over 400 views. This is not the New York times but we (Ivanka Da Dog and myself) are proud of these numbers.
The most popular blog I ever published with over 10,000 views was a blog I penned--titled, "President Obama's sister." I believe the popularity is due to the name 'Obama' in the title, It comes up in many unrelated searches on Google and other search engines.
This past year I had over 30 blogs that had the name 'Trump' in the title and each blog did very well in the amount of hits received. The best received blog was;
"Trump, the election and the Jewish connection;"
It received over 5,000 views and had 55 comments! Each of these blogs saw my friend list on Facebook diminish from over 1500 friends to just over 1200 friends today. Many people took this election to anothger loevel and if you did not support their candidate they un-friended you. Oy!
The most views on a guest blog came form Bonnie Brenton on a blog titled;Now That I Have My Master’s Degree, What in Heck Am I Supposed to Do with It..? This blog received over 4,000 views! This blog went viral with the help of Bonnie's placement on chat lines to help people understand these conditions!
It's not easy being in the public eye and being the Publisher and Blogger-n-chief of daknietalk blog. However it is the most fun hobby a retired publisher and photographer could be doing in his spare time on an isolated rock in the middle of the Pacific!
Mahalo Nui Loa for reading and contributing to my blog. I hope I still have a few friends left on Facebook to read my blog in the coming years, if not I can always join President elect Trump on Twitter!

My Special Needs Dog
If my dog were human she would be a special needs child. I believe that's why I am so attached to her and love her more than any other pet I have ever had.
Ivanka, AKA Obama never learned to fetch although I spent numerous hours training her to do that simple act.
As a service dog she performs her service for me perfectly. She is extremely bright on many levels however on simple issues does not get real excited.
She sits, stays, never ever had a potty accident indoors even as a puppy.
One thing she is literally genius on that I have never seen in any other dog is on my friend's names.
She knows every ones name!
I could have 5 friends over and say, Ivanka where's Jojo, and she will go over to Jojo, where's Yoshi, she goes to Yoshi, you get the drift. She even knows other dog's names.
When we are out in public she will pull me if she sees a friend and I don't , she will actually recognize a friend before I do.
The good thing about a special needs dog, she has to deal with a special needs dad, I love my dog!
I believe if my dog were human the doctors would diagnose her autistic. She is genius on so many levels, yet on simple things just doesn't care.
My dog is so awesome I can't stand it! Dogs really are mans best friend.
Special!!!

The Bus Ride From Hell;
The 11:00 o'clock bus had 2 bikes, two bikes is the maximum the Kauai Bus can accommodate, therefore I missed my bus, I did a few errands and waited for the 12:00 o'clock bus, my bike and I got on board this time in hopes of making it to the doctors office on time.
From Kojima store to Brick oven pizza a normal 10 minute bus ride took almost one hour.I started feeling nauseous, I had the drive heaves, the bus was literally at a standstill across from the Coconut market place, I asked the driver if i could please get off since I was about to loose my insides, she said it's illegal, I asked her if she would please call her dispatch, she complied and dispatch told her she could not let me off until the next designated bus stop at Brick oven pizza, which was a grueling 30 minute drive, something that normally is done in 2-3 minutes.
I pleaded with the driver to call back to dispatch, the driver called again and here is what dispatch told us, I could not get off unless we called emergency 911 and then it would had been a real mess in an already bumper to bumper traffic situation for everyone. Luckily I just had the dry heaves' but being on a bus in traffic, that is going at a snails pace and feeling sick as a dog with no fresh air, (since windows are not allowed to be open on the bus), is an experience I would not wish on anybody, unless of course that somebody is the person behind dispatch.

I never did make it to the doctors that day..
