Airline travelers and etiquette

What has happened to airline travelers and their etiquette?

Our most recent flight back from L.A via Las Vegas was full of most annoying passengers.  I thought I was home free when I got a good Aisle seat near the front of the plane---of course you never know what will sit next to you when the plane is full.

Behind me plopped an inebriated man who you could smell several feet away.  He was a chatty lush and felt the need to talk to all the passengers around him.  Furthermore, since he was over 6 feet tall he decided to rest his feet under my seat which came clear across the other side of my seatWe played the kicking game during the whole flight.

Next to me sat a rather large woman who had to take up part of my seat.  We brought our lunches on board and after a few hours started to get hungry so we went in the overhead to bring them down to our tray tables.  At that moment the woman next to me decided to use the restroom and decided to take her time visiting with people along the way. There I stood in the aisle waiting for her return; since I could not sit down until she returned to let her in, I was not happy;  never the less she took her good ole time.

Flying is not always the panacea it is cracked up to be, at least we got home safe and sound with minimal turbulence which is a big plus!
