Hamlin and Purdy contrast to the days of Tebow and prayer

Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin is breathing on his own and out of the hospital after

dying and being revived on national TV during Monday Night Football on January 2, 2023.  The game wound up being canceled after only a few minutes of play into the first quarter because the players on both sides were traumatized and both coaches decided it best to reschedule the game although rescheduling never took place.

ESPN, ABC, the NFL,

and the Sportswriters owe former QB Tim Tebow an apology.  Don’t shun and mock Tebow for kneeling to pray, and then find yourself praying along with football players, journalists, and sportscasters who previously ignored prayers. It's somewhat ironic that  God and prayer, once taboo in the sports world, are currently cliche.  Prayer is now allowed in the sports arena but still shunned in our public schools and highly practiced in our prisons.

I appreciate Tim Tebow

for always being a man of faith. I am thankful Hamlin is alive and maybe this scary situation led others to find prayer with the national media covering the story and bringing prayer to the forefront of limelight breaking news headlines!

Broc Purdy, Mr. Irrevelavant, the last prayer to be drafted in the  2022 NFL draft

was leading the San Fran Francisco 49ers to a possible Super Bowl appearance with his cinderella performances this season until he got injured in the NFC title game in Philadelphia. He professes faith in God and Christ publicly. Franklin Graham is a huge fan of this rookie quarterback.

What was once publicly

shamed is now cool, it's now the in thing to pray and have faith! As Larry David from "Curb your enthusiasm" might say, That's "Purdy, Purdy, Purdy Good!"

The constant coverage

of  Hamlin's recovery journey on every major network, not only sports networks, was remarkable as a country prayed for a man in a critical and fatal condition. How does a healthy 24-year-old NFL football Player collapse after making a tackle then rise to his feet, fall down and stop breathing?

The fast thinking of the EMTs and Buffalo Bills trainers just seconds after Damar's breathing stopped

was instrumental in saving his life, while others credit the outpouring of prayers.
Probably a combination of both.  “The more I study science, the more I believe in God” It is believed this is a quote by -Albert Einstein-

Damar's Gofundme page for toys

for children went from $2500 to over 8 million during his hospital stay. The news coverage was 24-7 about Damar for most of his 9-day hospitalization until the day he finally went home, and even now it hasn't stopped, only slowed down.

Damar allegedly showed up at the Buffalo Bills Cincinnati Bengals Playoff game at Highmark stadium in Orchard Park N.Y three weeks after the regular season

game where he collapsed and stopped breathing all bundled up like a mummy and every time the camera panned to him he was in shadow and soft focus and you could not see his face, although when the camera panned to his baby brother and mother they were in good HD sharp focus.

There are those who believe  Damar may have taken steroids or drugs or died on the football field. We have come a long way since the Tim Tebow era just a few years back concerning prayer and the media. Hamlin and Purdy sure contrast to the days of Tebow and prayer.

Recently Damar released a six-minute video thanking all the first responders, doctors,

the NFL, and everyone for all their healing thoughts and prayers. Even with the video, the conspiracy theorists are saying it was a stunt double acting as Damar. Up until this video there were no other interviews of any sort with Damar.

There are many afraid to speak contrary words for fear of losing their journalist jobs and being

canceled in this woke and cancel society.  Many are afraid to have an opinion since they see what cancel culture and the "cancel police" can do to one's life.

With all being said, I agree with the masses and join everyone in prayer for the continued healing of Damar,  that's if he's still alive, and  echo Bob Dylan's famous song lyrics from the '60s, "These times they are a changin."
Hallelujah!
