"An epiphany about politics..." James "Kimo" Rosen

"Sometimes politicians actually get things accomplished, when this happens it's an epiphany that we still have a few good men and woman involved in politics..."
An epiphany is  when you have a sudden realization... Politics is something that many of us criticize including myself. Politics is a rough game and one needs thick skin to be under the constant verbal attacks from opposition. Therefore I would like to share my epiphany about local politics.

I am proud of the Mayor and county council for pushing for the continuance of the muti-use trail and the breaking of ground in Hundley heights on the new loop  from Kuhio Hwy up to Mahelona hospital. I am proud of the county purchasing Hybrid Nissan Leaf electric cars, and am thrilled with the recent decision to encourage bus ridership by offering free rides commencing February 20Th for three weeks for people to try the bus to see what it has to offer in hopes of gaining new ridership.

On another similar topic, Tropic Care Kaua'i 2012 will  provide about 400 military reservists from around the country with real-world, rapid deployment training to provide free of charge routine medical attention inclusive of physical examinations; vision checks; eye glasses; dental care; nutrition/physical counseling; and more. This free medical care is for everyone, no requirement is required, you can drive a Mercedes or a bike nobody is denied.  Kauai really is awesome...

Mahalo Nui Loa to Mayor Carvalho and the Kauai County council ... Mayor and Council enjoy this moment, it won't last long, guaranteed.
