"Please No Drama Or Drugs..." 'James "Kimo" Rosen'

That's me back in 1982 on an  Alaskan fishing trip with my best friend Steve Charves
who recently passed away. Rest in peace my friend!

Please No Drama Or Drugs

Did you ever notice that people who advertise no drama are usually a drama type person themselves.

I recently went online  to join a particular Internet group, it states no drama. I have seen many listings for apartments and roommate situations that state and stress, no drama. Why would someone say no drama?

Basic Psychology tells us, "only the guilty speak."The best example of this is the teacher asking the class, who threw that eraser at Sally? The first kid to say, I" didn't do it," is usually the guilty one.

The other listing that always keep me away from answering ads  is when I see no drugs or alcohol. Why  does someone say these things unless they have this problem themselves. Ironically the  people that have drug problems want everyone to think they don't have drug issues.  By advertising no drugs, you are setting yourself for a drug using person by advertising no drugs, same applies with alcohol. Hence, usually the advertiser and the one on who answers the ad are drug  or alcohol users themselves. Funny how that works.

Law enforcement , social workers and psychiatrists and psychologists are trained  supposedly  to  know when a person is lying however they are fooled and conned themselves many times.

Notice next time you have an interaction with law enforcement, let's say you were speeding and the cop says, "I stopped for you for speeding." The guilty will usually say I wasn't speeding or my speedometer must be broke.  An honest person would most likely  say sorry, or tell the officer they were  speeding for an emergency, "look officer my pregnant wife is in labor in the  back seat..."

The other expression that goes hand in hand with only the guilty speak is when someone says, "let me be perfectly honest with you." Lookout when someone says that, because probably everything prior to that was a lie. This is a phrase  popularly  used  by car dealers, politicians and lawyers. Please note I realize there are honest people in these professions but few ,and far between and an exception to the rule.

They say how do you know when a politician is lying? When you see their lips move.

Being cognizant of knowing the phrase, "only the guilty speak" and "let me be honest with you,"  has  shown me many times over who  people really are. I tend to want honest friends as most of us would.

It is said, be with those who bring out the best in you, not the stress in you. I only have one question, who drove by me the other day while I was walking my  dog  and flashed me the one fingered peace sign. I am waiting patiently for the first who says , I didn't do it!
