"Garage sale commeth..." 'Judith Whitehead' (Inspiration Sunday)

Judith Whitehead lives in Amherst New York
( A suburb of Buffalo, N.Y.)
and has worked in the ophthalmology
field of medicine for over 30 years

Garage sale commeth

It's that time again.  August, when our annual garage sale in the neighborhood takes place, better start collecting my treasures for the chopping block.
Last years Garage sale
at the Whitehead's

This year I have some furniture to add to the mix and hopefully we will have perfect weather on the weekend.

I have some convincing to do when it comes to my husbands treasures. We go thru this every year but I am confident I will  convince him that those old clothes from the 80's have to be retired.

Stay tuned for the outcome....

On a serious note about nurses!

It always feels good to get rid of clutter. The less material possessions one possesses, the better one feels... wink emoticon

In the last year I have been de-cluttering my place, I got rid of dishes, pots and pans, clothes etc. I had dishes for 20. I live alone, on rare occasions have 1 or two people over. I was going to have a garage sale but decided to donate everything to catholic charities here on Kauai, since they are always helping others.

yes, whatever doesnt sell goes to donations...not back in the house

Judith, that was my rule as well! Leftovers either were put out for the trash pick up, or went right into the van to be dropped off at the thrift shop.

Been trying to get rid of stuff for one year also; boxes and hefty bags full to goodwill; doesn't look like I've made any progress..lived in same house for 31 years. Made a small dent in kitchen and bigger dents in closets or so I thought..what is happening is I am just moving stuff from one room to another loll

Judith, put them in a plastic bag for safe keeping. One day they'll be worth money. Love Bettejo
