can we drop thousands of beep beep beep vehicles on North Korea 24/7 & sell them ear muffs to enrich the US treasury ?
Spot on, Kimo. Those beepers have evolved into a SAFETY OVERKILL that inflicts a shitload of social damage for an ounce of questionable help. ~Back to the drawing board; mankind can do better than this.
Now consider how you would never ever hear about a single one of the events avoided because of the warning. Why would you? They never happened!
Exactly Pete!
There needs to be some sort of compromise because they really do prevent accidents. I have experienced it.
Great to hear, you are the first I have heard that it helped! Great! Care to share? smile emoticon
There was a bunch of us crossing Kam Highway at Pearl Ridge Shopping center in a cross walk, There was road work going on. All of sudden, I heard back up beeps & looked up to see a back hoe backing up close to the crosswalk! I shouted to the driver, "There are people behind you!", & he stopped in time. I also ran the opposite direction to get away & slipped & sprained my ankel, but that's another story.
Cool, you may have saved a few people some major injury! Awesome! Mazol Tov!

ice cream trucks used 70 years ago…
