Natural disasters and Harvey bring out the best in Humans

Hurricane Harvey has reeked havoc on Texas. The  photos are reminiscent of many films I watched in the past of the end of times and the biblical chapter of revelations.

Can anything  positive come from all this devastation? Experts have already begun to offer damage estimates. $125 billion: Texas Gov. Greg Abbot said his state will need federal relief money "far in excess" of that total. Moody’s Analytic's has estimated $97 billion in destruction alone and some $108 billion in total damages counting lost output. With  billions of dollars of damage and over 100,000 homes flooded beyond repair.  Thousands of injuries and yet thankful thus far for only 47 deaths, although 1 death is far too many.

Maybe our country needed a natural disaster of this magnitude to bring Americans together? Since the current administration has taken office there has been an unofficial civil war happening in America.  I hate to say it, all this disaster brings people together, whether they are black, white, brown, Republican, Democrat, Independent, Muslim or Jew.

Maybe the Lord will be sending  more of these natural disasters until we the people learn to cope with one another in a civil manner once again? Although many will suffer and go through hardship, natural disasters seem to  bring out the best in humans. Maybe this is how we make America great again, politics just doesn't seem to be working?

May God bless the victims of Hurricane Harvey. If you believe in prayer please say a prayer, if not please send positive vibes and energies. Politics aside, whether you like him him or not, President Trump pledged one million of his own money toward Hurricane Harvey relief!  If you can afford to send money please do so. Your local place of worship, a collection bucket at your local Walmart or corner store, a friends Go Fund me page, or if your comfortable with the American Red Cross are all excellent ways to donate!

Maybe we can make America even Greater than Great again?
