"A blog about nothing.."

Remember the sitcom comedy Seinfeld? It is in syndication and still runs in almost every major us city. It's been eleven years since the final episode was filmed, the show is still funny and relevant.

Seinfeld was a show according to executive producer Jerry Seinfeld, "a show about nothing."

My blog is similar to the Seinfeld sitcom in that it is a blog about nothing. It's just my thoughts on a daily basis.

Today I am out of idea's to write about, so here I am writing about nothing, in hopes of reaching my one hundredth blog in four more days.

The countdown begins...

"Now let's put racism aside..."

"Now let's put racism aside..."

Now that we have elected an intelligent man to run our country, let's try to put race aside, especially in our racist state of Hawaii where everyone is labeled by their ethnicity.

Barack Obama said, "There are those who are preparing to divide us, the spin masters and negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of anything goes. Well, I say to them tonight, there's not a liberal America and a conservative America there's the United States of America. There's not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there's the United States of America."

We are the United States of America and we are Americans even on this land of "aloha."

"Plastic bags are useful and help save trees..."

Plastic bags are useful and help save trees

Now the Kauai contrarians and so-called environmentalists are pushing for a plastic bag ban on our island.

Plastic bags can be used time and time again. I re-use supermarket plastic bags for garbage bags, storing leftovers, harvesting fruits and vegetables and carrying things on my bicycle, since the bags have handles.

The need is not in banning plastic bags, but educating the public on the many uses for them.

Another irony is a few health food stores have stopped using plastic bags but will bag your groceries with paper bags; remember, you need to cut down trees to make paper bags.

Banning plastic bags will be costly and a headache we cannot afford.

"A joke I wrote myself..."

"A joke I wrote myself..."
I am over my friends house and tell my friends I need to leave because my dog is home alone and afraid of separation anxiety. They said, don't worry your dog will be fine. I said it's not the dog i am worried about, it's me suffering the anxiety. :D)

"The wrong people and things are being furloughed..."

The wrong government workers are being furloughed and schools never should had been furloughed.

The government workers that need to be furloughed are the majority of our politicians.

Furlough county council, senate, congress, Mayors and the Governor. Nobody will even know these people are not working. All they do is try to get re-elected anyway.

Why furlough the bread and butter, the people that are needed, furlough the pork, the politicians. Start at the top with the people who do the least.

If our politicians gave a rats behind on the state of the economy they would all take a volunteer pay cut. In fact if any politician comes out openly and takes a pay cut during this recession, they are 99% guaranteed of re-election.

Please someone in politics step forward, others will follow.

"People in glass houses should not throw stones..."

"People in glass houses should not throw stones..."

The chicken is the one animal that is used in more cooking recipes recipe's than any other.

Why do people think cockfighting is cruelty to animals? The same people eat chicken on a regular basis. There are a few Vegetarian and Vegans that can stand their ground, but the vast majority of people are just so full of chicken manure.

If it's ok to butcher a chicken, chop of it's head, let it run around in agony, then continue to bleed it and pull it's out it's guts in preparation for a meal, whats the big deal about a chicken fight?

If I were a chicken I would rather be in a fight with another chicken than be beheaded by a human being.

The cruelty is in not letting people enjoy themselves, if a cockfight can be entertaining why not enjoy it? Remember the old expression, people in glass houses should not throw stones...

"When I first heard of cockfighting I thought it was an X rated video."

When I first heard of cockfighting I thought it was an X rated video, but have come to terms that it is a past time and sport.

Seriously, most people eat chickens, but feel cockfighting is cruelty to the chicken, so is chopping of it's head, butchering it and making soup.

Legalize cockfighting, marijuana and prostitution, and tax the hell out of it. Then maybe we could get our keiki back in school and not have to shut down 50 branches of the department of Human services.
