" A mental disorder..."
Orthodox Judaism is a mental disorder, maybe that's why for so many years I enjoyed hanging out with them, now that I am trying to get better I find them crazier than loons.
Can't do this can't do that, the Rabbi's tell everyone not to work on the sabbath, because if we worked they would be out of a job.
Since I am Jewish I can make light of Jewish stuff, it's the same as a black person being able to use the "N" word.
Orthodox Judaism is a mental dis-order, similar to obsessive compulsive disorder. The practitioners think they are the most sane people in the world. They won't use phone or drive on sabbath or light fires. They unscrew refrigerator lights, won't carry key's, but if there on their neck, on a string it's OK?
People who are not orthodox have obsessive disorders like, "if you step on a a crack you break your mothers back." The orthodox Jews have a rule for everything. Don't do this don't do that, but ironically are always trying to find a spiritual loophole?
Playing attorney with G-d is not a good idea, since he will always win. In fact you can't even spell God, G-d forbid.
I have seen food needing to be heated up and if you forget to leave your stove on and forget to have a flame already burning you are not allowed to light the stove. If you leave your bedroom light on before sabbath and it is still on after sabbath starts, you need to sleep with the light on.
Men dance with men, women dance with woman, and men are not allowed to shake hands or hug woman unless that woman is his wife. The rumor of the orthodox making love through a whole in a sheet is a false hood. Thank G-d Snopes verified that for me.
Look I know a good psychiatrist who will prescribe something for this, only thing is, it is the sabbath and since he is Jewish cannot write the prescription until after sabbath ends.

I have lived in two countries, many states and Kaua‘i is the tailgating capitol of the world.
I was taught for every 10 mph to give one-car length distance, so at 50 mph there should be at least a five-car distance between vehicles.
Every time I venture out to drive I can see with detail in my rear view mirror people’s birthmarks on their faces at speeds of 40 to 50 mph. I am always sticking my hand out with the sign language of thumb and forefinger spread open to give me more space. Nobody seems to acknowledge this since they are so wrapped up in their narcissistic acts of cell phone conversation, texting and eating.
I feel tailgating is a Freudian thing. People who tailgate suffer what Sigmund Freud termed a certain type of envy. Hopefully, these people can get over their envy and help create safer roads by giving us a little space.

Kauai is a wonderful place but to understand, you never will.
Kauai is a wonderful place but to understand, you never will.
The Kuhio highway in Kapa'a town on the Island of Kauai is not a hwy, it's called a highway but in reality is a two lane road with speed limit's of 25 mph.
This will help explain the reason for so many contrarians living on Kaua'i. When someone believes a two lane road as a highway, they also believe that Big Box stores are ma and pa enterprises, they believe that a vacational rental should be a tent on the beach, they believe a bike trail should be the trail a bike leaves and believe the superferry to be a gay man. because of this mis-understanding of words, and the pidgin english everything is misconstrude.
When ordering at a restaurant one may say, "give me dakine with dakine on dakine." which of course means give me a bacon, spam lettuce and tomotaoe sandwhich with poi on Taro bread.
To make things more complicated at the local gym, they do not let you shower nude, even in an enclosed men and womens seperate quarters, they say it's only a rinse shower and being naked in a shower is forbidden.
Even though it's in the locker room, there explanation is if they wanted to see nakedness they would go online and look it up. Kauai is a wonderful place but to understand, you never will.
Bratty children will become bad adults...
Bratty children will become bad adults
Everything centers around children; my timing in life is off. When I was a child we were taught to respect our elders, older people went first in buffet lines, young people were taught to give up their seat on the bus to someone older. There used to be an unwritten common courtesy in honor of older adults.
Now everything is for the kids, putting adults in a secondary position. Swimming at the YMCA is geared around children, and adults must schedule themselves around the kids. When I was a kid the children were scheduled around the adults.
Children cannot be spanked by their parents since everyone is afraid their kids will report them to human services.
All children have to do is say that some adult touched them inappropriately and that is enough to indict. The adult may be innocent but in the meantime his or her reputation has been tarnished.
Adults no longer have control over their children, bestowing upon them angel status.
Recently on an airplane trip a child was kicking my seat, and I said something and the father said give the kid a break. My father would have told me it is not polite to kick seats and made me stop.
Most kids are not angels in fact quite the contrary. The world has let children take control. My timing is off. When I was a kid adults had the control, and now that I am an adult children have control. Until things are turned around society will continue to produce spoiled brats who become selfish, crooked adults

"Every day is Thanksgiving..."
A day of Thanks and Giving
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday since it is not a religious holiday but an American holiday.
It is a holiday for all religions and ethnic groups that call themselves American. No special church, synagogues or mosques involved, in fact even agnostics and atheists can celebrate Thanksgiving and feel the spirit.
The editorial and letters to the editor pages are usually filled with controversy and arguments about religion, politics and the many things humans vent. Thanksgiving requires no venting, only thanks, I only wish that retailers would wait until after Thanksgiving to start on all the commercialism of Christmas.
Thanksgiving has lost its appeal with the supremacy of Christmas overshadowing one of the most stupendous days of thanks.
Thanksgiving started out as a feast meal between the Native Americans and the pilgrims, opposites coming together to break bread to give and be thankful.
May this Thanksgiving be a lesson. Life is short and although we may have opposing views, one thing is for certain. Thanksgiving is the one day for just that — thanks and giving.
The most wonderful thing about Thanksgiving is that food has no calories on this special American holiday. Enjoy this untroubled tranquil day which comes but only once a year, although it would be romantically utopian having Thanksgiving everyday.

"On airport incidents..."
On airport incidents
The last week has brought chaos to Kaua‘i’s Lihu‘e Airport. The first was when a 55-year-old man assaulted two flight attendants.
The second incident was an entire family letting their children run wild during a flight, believing their little ones were just so cute, but disturbing everyone else.
It was a real life incident of “kids gone wild.”
And the third and most recent is a 22-year-old male taking his aggressions out on a kiosk and having to be restrained.
The reason everyone is going crazy at Lihu‘e Airport is we have no other way to travel long distance in or out of Kaua‘i.
Residents and visitors are traumatized by having to rely on air travel for all off island travel.
These problems will only get worse until such time as an alternative means of travel is introduced. Airports are stressful places with security checks, arriving early, not being able to carry bottled water, or even a nail clipper.
I know a sure way to ease the tensions at the airport: Bring back da Superferry!

"Color blindness is wonderful..,"
Color blindness is wonderful
When someone asks, “Are you haole?” I respond, “Why what I did?”
When someone says, “What comes after two?” I respond, “Tree.”
I now say “da” instead of “the” and always great people with a friendly “howzit.”
I use the work "dakine' often as a word to mean anything..
I legally changed my name from James to “Kimo.”
President Obama says there is not a White American or an Asian American or a Black America, there is only the United States of America.
Color blindness sure is a wonderful thing, or should I say “ting?”
