"Andy Rooney, the worlds first blogger..." 'James "Kimo" Rosen'

Rest in peace Mr. Rooney...
The invention of the DVR to record TV programs digitally while your away or even watching other programs is one of the best new toys known to man and woman. I was able to DVR (digital video record) the news show of 60 minutes and fast forward to the end to view the satirical commentaries by Andy Rooney. When Andy Rooney announced his retirement at age 92 last month for his final segment, Rooney said,"I've lived a life luckier than most,  I wish I could do this forever. I can't though." Andy said he probably hasn't said anything that most of us hadn't already thought, he just had a fun way putting our thoughts into words.

True to his style he complained about being famous and wrote ,"If you see him a restaurant just let me eat." I know If I saw him in a restaurant I would at least  give him a wink or  head-nod and have the wait person send over his favorite drink spiked with Prozac , just in hopes that he may talk with me after he's done with his meal after the Prozac kicked in.  If I could  had spoke with him I might had started my conversation with his famous refrain,"Did you ever wonder." Did you ever wonder why you are actually talking to me? I would answer, because of the Prozac I slipped in your drink.
Andy Rooney was  the reason I watched "60 minutes." Most of the shows anchor's are well advanced senior citizens and without Rooney to end the show I believe the show has pretty much sealed it's fate.
Rooney was blogging before blogging was even a word or people knew what blogging was, I am calling Rooney the original blogger, the guy who blogged before  it became a word. Mr. Rooney had the best job in the world, the question remains, where do I send my resume?
If  Mr. Rooney could write an essay from beyond it  might begin;"Did you ever wonder why they say people "pass away?" What have they passed, footballs, baseballs or maybe just a little gas? Rest in Peace Mr. Rooney, and Mahalo Nui Loa for being my mentor...

Judy, actually I believe it was no coincidence, I thought it was strange he was retiring, he was '60 minutes.' Andy even said he wished he could do this forever, My theory is he knew he was sick, at first I thought how stupid of CBS to let this guy go, but I believe he left since he knew he had limited time and I mean limited... Sometimes you need to read between the lines.
