Another year gone by…….another year older……

Can you believe how this year has flown by us; it is true that each year seems to be shorter than the next. When we are young teenagers we can’t wait until we got older and more experienced. I was a teenager when I got married and my husband was 2 years older than I. How I wished back then that I had been as old as he was; how the tables turn.
Yes, age is just a number; what matters is what you do with your years. I am grateful to be healthy and able to still work 40 plus hours a week. Although I wouldn't be unhappy if I came into a windfall of money or won the lottery; I would still work though, at something worth while. . Now that I am approaching the ripe old age of 57, I gain comfort in knowing that I can always say to my husband that he is the older one in this pair.

Perhaps that has something to do with our perception of time; that each additional year represents a smaller proportion of the totality of our lifespan lived thus far."

Remember when you were in elementary school and just from September to June seemed like 100 years, now one year just leads to another...
