"Doctor's visit should begin with aloha..!" & "Who is Kimo..?" 'James "Kimo" Rosen'

"My doctor is the best, everyone thinks their doctor is the best, how many ever admit to their doctor being the worst? Seriously, my doctor really is da best along with his great receptionist and staff, that's why I go there....  Above my doctor writing me a perscription for sanity!"

Aloha, Check out my opinion article in the  (04-08-13) edition of the  Kaua'i Garden Island News," Aloha is Medicine..."
http://thegardenisland.com/news/opinion/mailbag/letters-for-monday-april/article_f6701522-a014-11e2-b0be-0019bb2963f4.html

The first person you see upon entering your doctors office is most likely the receptionist. If the receptionist greets you with a smile and a little aloha it can be a counterpart healing to the doctors visit. However on the other hand if the receptionist is not friendly or social or does not smile or give you a friendly hello, it can bring a bad energy for what's to come.

Doctors are healers and if a doctor is not working solo, if he or she is not a one man band the office needs to work as a team to help initiate any kind of healing. Energies are essential to mental and physical health.

Doctors need to learn a lesson from business and restaurants, whenever I go to my favorite restaurant I am greeted with a smile, thank you, and yes sir. It makes my visit feel like I am wanted and appreciated, it's essential that a good business has a good front person and a doctor's office of all places needs the front person to be positive, polite and radiate aloha.

If the receptionist gives you bad vibes or is not courteous, let your doctor know, your health-care professionals need to work as a team, and that team needs to begin with aloha!

For an encore (Hana Hou!) blogformance (sic) check out Stephan Shioi's letter to editor in today's Kaua'i garden Island News, "Who is Kimo?" http://thegardenisland.com/news/opinion/mailbag/letters-for-friday-february/article_1d0e91ea-4e40-11e1-bab7-0019bb2963f4.html

"Who is Kimo?"
"Anyone ever wonder if James “Kimo” Rosen is a paid  contributor to The Garden Island, a regular guy who just always has something to say or some fictional character made up by some guy at The Garden Island sitting in some back office churning out letter after letter after letter?
I think it’s the latter really. Must be, gotta be, I really do think so. I mean, no can be that someone actually exists that has that much to say about anything and everything without wanting to run for public office. No can be! Not possible, I say! Owww, my aching head."

For the answer to Stephen's LTE, check out my opinion article on 02-04-12 in the Kauai Garden Island News; Who is Stephen Shioi?"

Who is Stephen Shioi?
In the Letters to the Editor on Feb. 3, Stephen Shioi asks, “Who is Kimo?”

I feel I have the utmost and highest authority of anyone to answer that question.

Mr. Shioi, I am impressed with your witty letter, truly enjoyed your humor and writing style.

I am grateful every day upon awakening and reading The Garden Island newspaper and not seeing my name in the obituary section.

I hope that answers your  question.

Now, I must ask: Who is Stephen Shioi?

James “Kimo” Rosen, Kapa‘a

Unc, so true, Quick story, I moved to Kauai in 2003, I had an emergency situation and called 3 doctors who were about to close, it was after 4:30, I needed to see a doctor, my Insurance people told me to call a doctor in Kilauea 18 miles from where I live in Kapaa, They told me they close at 5:00 it was 4:45, there was no way I could make it there in 15 minutes, They said don't worry well keep the doors open until you arrive, I still go to the same doctor through this day!

Kathmandude said via theGarden Island News;
"The fact that Mr. Rosen's letter was in today's paper only 24 hours after Mr. Shio's makes me think that Stephen was indeed correct with his supposition that Rosen is, in fact, an employee of The Garden Island newspaper and has been writing all these years under a pseudonym. Yes, the more I think about it, the more I believe it to be true -- that all the silly, inane letters we've been subjected to were a ploy to get readers to react and, in turn, pump up circulation. What else could it be? I mean, just look at the name, "James 'Kimo' Rosen." Could anyone "real" actually have such a ridiculous name? Boy, I've got to admit it, even I was duped -- and I ain't no spring chicken! Pretty clever those Garden Island people."
