"Call the Bushes a dynasty, but the Clintons..?" 'Douglas Dunn' (Political Opinion)

and Barack Obama. Doug also drives a Nissan Leaf !

Call the Bushes a dynasty -- but the Clintons?

We keep hearing about the “dynasty” candidates, identified as Republican Jeb Bush and Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton, as if they are somehow equivalent. Sure, it makes for a good story line, but it promotes a false equivalence.

The word “dynasty” conjures images of hereditary generational control of nations or empires, such as the monarchies of Europe or the emperors of China, with power handed down across generations.
Shared from Facebook....
Could  2016 bring back
 Bush-Clinton? Stay tuned!

This is certainly exemplified by the Bushes, a family of old East Coast hereditary wealth now in its third generation of power (Sen. Prescott Bush, then President George H.W. Bush, then President George W. Bush) and preparing a fourth generation (Texas land commissioner George P. Bush).

But it hardly represents the Clintons, two members of the same generation and immediate household, arising from modest origins and rising to the highest pinnacles of achievement entirely on their own individual merit and work.

Obama Da Dog is a life long resident of Hawai'i. Obama

James "Kimo" Rosen. They both reside in Kapa'a town.

Kimo's World #77
Always there for me

I  need my dog, she is my Valium, my Zoloft, my Prozac, my Paxil, my Cymbalta. She makes me feel relaxed and able to handle whatever situation presents itself.

This past year when the media falsely accused  me of an alleged arson fire, who was there for me, 'Obama' my dog.

When the doctors thought I had cancer of the spinal cord, who was there for me?  You guessed it, 'Obama' my dog.

I trust my dog more than I trust any human being, life without dogs would be incomplete...

Man's best friend is an understatement.

God bless the dogs of the world and remember God spelled backwards is Dog!

"The Swallow an amazing bird..." 'Judith Whitehead' (Inspiration Sunday)

Judith Whitehead lives in Amherst New York

field of medicine for over 30 years

The Swallow an amazing bird

We just had a Robin family leave the evergreen last week near our front porch ,babies born and flew out of the nest.

Now we have another bird family that built a mud and straw nest against our porch brick wall that are amazing. They have been there for a few weeks now and have begun to be a real bother. At first they were cute to watch building a nest right up against a wall but now they have kept us from sitting on our own porch all summer.
Mom keeping watch at swallows nest...

As soon as we make a sound, they fly from the nest and continue to dive bomb us until we go away.  I am not exaggerating.I can hear the wind from their tiny wings go by my head they are so close.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE SWALLOW EGGS TO HATCH? BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY ANNOYING NOW.
All day long 3 of them swirl around our yard and barely miss our heads. Nature is amazing, from afar...

"Restrooms along the interstate..." 'Chester "Unc" Lau' (Source)

Any help , support or ideas would be greatly appreciated...

I am PRO-CHOICE ON EVERYTHING WITH RESPONSIBILITY...

Restrooms along the interstate

In Traveling down the interstate and needing to use the restroom, I stop at a rest area and head to the restroom.

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying: "Hi, how are you?"
I'm not the type to start a conversation in the restroom and I don't know what got into me, but I answered, somewhat embarrassed, "Doin' just fine!"
And the other person says: "So what are you up to?"
What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say: "Uhhh, I'm like you, just traveling!"
At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question. "Can I come over?"
Ok, this question is just too weird for me but I figured I could just be polite and end the conversation. I tell them. "No..I'm a little busy right now!!!"
Then I hear the person say nervously... "Listen, I'll have to call you back.  There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions."

"Slavery in America..." 'Bettejo Dux' (Vintage Bettejo)

Bettejo Dux has lived on the cosmic Garden
Island of Kaua'i for over 40 years.

Bettejo is a regular opinion writer in the Garden Island news
and is the author of the famed novella, "The Scam."
 Her latest fiction"Children of extinction"
is now  released and available on Amazon!
Slavery in America

Bettejo and Aristotle

In a recent Garden Island News Forum letter, a frequent  writer wrote,  "...the Confederate flag flying high over the state Capitol of Charleston, South Carolina..." The writer commented, "Makes you proud to call yourself an American, doesn't it?"

No. But it makes me proud to be a citizen of the state of Hawaii.

According to a Wikipedia demographic on South Carolina, 93% of its citizens are Christian. Perhaps they were just quoting the Bible? For an example...

"When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment." Exodus 21:7-11

"When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property." (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)

These are Biblical values? Seems a man can buy as many sex slaves as he wants.

In the most recent Voice of Reason journal of Americans for Religious Liberty, Edd Doerr writes Is the Wall Crumbling? Scary! An American theocracy? Oh, my goodness! My beloved editor, the good Jewaiian, and my favorite Hebrew black dog, Obama, and I could end up in the same pot. Or shower. Bring your own soap.

All kidding aside, I think all of us, left sane and even halfway intelligent, need to take these religious lunatics seriously.

We had, for a while, a thriving bigoted, morally foul-mouthed,vicious, cut throat, obsessive fundamentalist gang of thugs who quoted the Bible, Chapter and Verse. Not the goodie-goodie-two-shoes passages that everyone loves to quote, but the extreme nasties. Including rape, sodomy and bashing baby's head against the rocks.

If there are any left on Kauai--goodness forbid--may they hurry back to wherever they came from. Soonest.

Stay out of Hawaii, guys--they're always men, have you noticed? Too many non Christians--of any, all, or no religious persuasion--carry big sticks. Poisoned pens? You betcha.

A personal aside, I was labeled a 'spawn of satan', a 666, and sent to hell so often I was a prized and welcome resident. All the good guys are in hell, you know. They've got it air-conditioned, and everybody is sitting around playing strip poker with Marilyn Monroe.

"The guilt of the chain letter..." Robert Bitos Gandia (Source)

Guest-blogger,Robert Bitos Gandia
.Robert is an avid cook (ono gandule rice) and always laughing!!
Robert lives in Kekaha on Kauai's west-side and loves football!!

The guilt of the  chain letter

Hello, my name is Robert and I suffer from guilt for not forwarding 50 billion chain letters sent to me by people who actually believe that if you send them on, a poor six year old girl in Kentucky with a breast on her forehead will be able to raise enough money to have it removed before her redneck parents sell her to a traveling freak show.

And, do you honestly believe that Bill Gates is going to give you, and everyone to whom you send "his" email, $1000?
How stupid are we?

Ooooh, looky here! If I scroll down this page and make a wish, I'll get laid by a model I just happen to run into the next day!
What a bunch of bullsh*t.

Maybe the evil chain letter leprechauns will come into my house and sodomize me in my sleep for not continuing a chain letter that was started by St Peter in 5AD and brought to this country by midget pilgrim stowaways on the Endeavor.
C,mon really?

If you're going to forward something, at least send me something mildly amusing. I've seen all the "send this to 10 of your closest friends, and this poor, wretched excuse for a human being will somehow receive a nickel from some omniscient being" forwards about 90 times.I don't care.

Show a little intelligence and think about what you're actually contributing to by sending out these forwards. Chances are, it's our own unpopularity.

The point being? If you get some chain letter that's threatening to leave you shagless or luckless for the rest of your life, delete it.
If it's funny, send it on.

Don't piss people off by making them feel guilty about a leper in Botswana with no teeth who has been tied to the arse of a dead elephant for 27 years and whose only salvation is the 5 cents per letter he'll receive if you forward this email.

Now forward this dakinetalk blog to everyone you know. Otherwise, tomorrow morning your underwear will turn carnivorous and will consume your genitals.
Have a nice day!

P.S: Send me 15 bucks

"Jewaiians and the lost tribes of Israel..." 'James 'Kimo" Rosen' (Kimo's world #76)

James "Kimo" Rosen and Obama Da Dog
enjoying  a restful Jewish Sabbath.
Rosen lives in Kapaa and likes to blog
about anything and everything!  ;-)

Jewaiians and the lost tribes of Israel
Kimo's world #76
This meme was used on Facebook
 to promote this blog!
Many people are surprised when they learn I am Jewish.  I have actually had people ask where are your horns?  I say I filed them this morning as to assimilate and fit in.

My Hawaiian friends like to call  me 'Jewaiian.'
Jewish people living on Kauai pray
near Kealia beach.

Jewish is  pretty much the same as being white in Hawaii. Too most a white person no matter what religion in Hawaii is referred to the term 'haole."
In this manner the Jews fit in very well with other haoles. It's like we all went to haole school.

The state of Hawaii has a Jewish population of about 10,000 amongst the states 1.3 million population. Kauai hosting approximately 900.

I found it ironic with research into the number of Jews on the Hawaiian islands that Jews and Muslims listed together make up 1% of the population. Grouping Jews with Muslims is like  doing a survey on dogs and grouping them with cats.

Some Native Hawaiians seriously believe they are descended from the Lost Tribes of Israel.
The Hawaiian word "Kahuna"  which means priest, sorcerer, magician, wizard, minister,  or an expert in any profession  is derived  from the Hebrew word, Kohen, (priest.)

There is another irony, the word "Aloha", which is used both as a salutation and to mean "love". This is very similar to "Shalom".

Hawaii elected  Linda Lingle a Jewish Governor from 2002-2010.  The Governor was also a Woman and a Republican, both being the minority in a Democratic state. What are the odds of not only a Jewish Governor, but a Caucasian  woman and a Republican?

Could the Hawaiian people really be one of the lost tribes of Israel and Jewish?
A Torah scroll (Jewish Bible) and yad ("pointer") owned by the royal family of Hawaii is believed to show a connection between it and the early Jewish community. How the scroll and yad came into the possession of King David Kalakaua is not clear?

However one thing is certain, the Jews of Hawaii also known as Jewaiians have combined  two very powerful and spiritual words; 'Shalom' and 'Aloha' to come up with 'Shaloha.'

G-d Bless Hawaii and it's people and let us say;
 'Shaloha,  L'chayim and Amen!
Love, Peace, Hello and To Life!

Jewish people love humor as do Hawaiians, therefore I must tell the following story;

"A Jewish man and his wife were planning a vacation. They ended up in an argument, though...

"It's 'Hawaii' I'm telling you!" she said.

"Oy! I never KNEW someone so stubborn! 'Havaii' is how it's pronounced!" he replied. And so it went all the way to the vacation...

As they got off the airplane, they passed by a man. The husband abruptly stopped the wife and turned to the man to ask, "Now that we're on the island, you can settle an argument between my wife and I. Is this 'Hawaii' or 'Havaii?'"

"This is Havaii," the man replied.

"Ha!" the husband said, turning to his wife, "See, didn't I tell you never to argue with me? I'm always right!" As they began to walk away, he turned back and gave the man a hearty "Thank you!"

"You're Velcome!!!"  ;-)

Now if this isn't proof of the Hawaiian people being one of the lost tribes of Israel nothing is!

My favorite all time ever cartoon!  ;-)   (Shared from Facebook...)

"Remembering our dads.... " 'Judith Whitehead' (Inspiration Sunday)

Judith Whitehead lives in Amherst New York.
and has worked in the ophthalmology
field of medicine for over 30 years

Remembering our dads

This will be the first Fathers Day without having my dad to celebrate with us. Last June when we all gathered at the party room reserved at his nursing room to share funny cards and eating together.  I did think to myself since he is getting in to the mid ninety's, I wondered if this would be the last one to remember.
He looked forward to funny cards and desert the most.
Judith and her dad last year
at the nursing home

I know he is resting in peace now and we will carry on celebrating with our own family. We all gather and have a meal together and are grateful that we still have our core family with us.

It doesn't matter if you have  dinner together, a picnic or whatever, just as long as you honor dad and let him know you care about all the things he has done for you and the family.

For those that have lost our dads which are both my husband and myself,  we cherish those memories that are in the past and wish them good wished in our hearts.

Happy Dad's Day to all those dads, wannabe dads, grand dads and dads who are about to become a dad, we honor you on this special day.
This day is in honor and memory of all fathers!

"A Book Report on The Four Man Plan..." 'Harmony Bentosino' (Harmonic Thursday)

Welcome back Dakinetalk's good friend 'Harmony Bentosino!'
Harmony recently completed  her Masters degree in counseling.
Harmony  resides in Kapolei, Hawaii on the island of Oahu...
Harmony blogs about the Four Man Plan, a book
about woman who suck at love.
Above photo of Harmony giving a speech
on the same subject at a recent Toastmasters meeting...

A Book Report on The Four Man Plan

The Four Man Plan
 is available on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/
The-Four-Man-Plan-Romantic/dp/145371782X
Are you single, and would you like to be dating and find that special someone?
You can do it based on a book by Cindy Lu called The Four Man Plan. The author
claims this is a book for women who suck at love. I include myself in that group. For
some reason we have been unable to find a stable, long lasting relationship. Maybe we
were too picky. Perhaps, we said we would only date men who are wealthy, good looking, and drive a fancy car, or maybe we refused to date men who were short.

With this plan we date everybody. The only qualities we are looking for are honest, loving, and willing. Willing means he is willing to share new experiences. We have to date a man long enough to determine if he possesses those qualities.

The only men we do not date are those who are married, abusive, or “icky.” Cindy Lu explains icky does not mean superficial characteristics like a receding hairline. Icky is one of those things that you know it when you see it.

Now, if you are a man, this book is also for you because if you are interested in a woman who is following the plan, the book will tell you exactly what you have to do to win her heart, her mind, and whatever else you want to win!

Cindy is a mathematical genius who has turned the art of love into the science of math. From the title of this book, it would seem that a woman who wants to find a man must be dating four, but it’s more complicated. Cindy says that when you first date a
man he is only a quarter man. That means you could be dating 16 men! So what must a quarter man do to become a half? On the second or third date, you must tell the man about the plan because it only works when he knows he is competing.

Men love competition. It brings out their chivalrous qualities. It is the opposite for women. Competing for men, brings out the worst qualities in women. This is a biological imperative. Whichever gender of a specific species, is the more attractive,
that is the one that is fought over. With peacocks, the females fight for the males, but with humans, let’s face it, Ladies, we are the pretty ones, and the men compete for us!

The last time I halved a man, I found a clever way to do it. It was our third date. We attended a Toastmaster Club meeting where I was the scheduled speaker. I spoke
about the Four Man Plan, and he heard about it for the first time!
Harmony giving her speech
at Toastmasters on
'The Four Man Plan."

So what must a half man do to become whole? Cindy states there are two ways. One is for there to be a level of physical intimacy that is more than a long good night kiss but less than full on sex. In her book, she goes into graphic detail about what exactly she means by that. The second way a man becomes whole is if he uses the 'L' word. Men in
competition for women tend to talk about love- probably because it is easier to talk about love than to actually do love. But there you have it- that’s a whole man.

How do you keep him whole? The answer is you delay having actual sex for as long as you can! There is an axiom that states a man will only be as nice to you as he needs to be to get you into bed. We are looking for honest, loving, and willing, but men
who want to go to bed with you can appear honest, loving, and willing! You need to date him long enough to develop the trust that he will still be there for you after you go to bed
with him.

Once you make the decision to sleep with a man his value increases to two and a quarter. Cindy, our mathematical genius, is making the point that if you slept with two men, their value would add up to more than four, and that’s too many.

According to this plan, once you sleep with a man, you still continue to date other men even though you are not sleeping with them. There are three reasons for this: It makes you less needy, you have a basis for comparison, and your two and a quarter man
knows he is still competing for you.

How much higher can a two and a quarter man go? Can he ever equal four men? No, one man can’t be everything. The highest he can achieve is three and a half. For that to happen, you already have honest, willing, and loving. In addition, you need for the
man to ask to have an exclusive relationship with you, and you love him. Then you can stop dating other men, and you have your three and a half which is as good as it gets! If you want to find a fulfilling relationship, I recommend you read The Four Man Plan by Cindy Lu.
