Reflections and a Happy Thanksgiving
I reflect on the past year and what we are thankful for.
This will be the first Thanksgiving that we will not celebrate with my dear dad that passed away this past Spring. He loved a good plate of stuffing and fresh turkey and leftovers for the next day.
We still will spend our feast with dear family and friends that are our family and enjoy the fact that we will be together once again as we have celebrated for longer than I can remember.
Judy with friends and family being thankful for the food and each other... |
Once again we are all fortunate that we have our health and good fortune to be together and will eat turkey and fixings until we can hardly move, it's the gathering that counts even more than the turkey.
WISHING EVERYONE A HAPPY HEALTHY HOLIDAY SEASON FILLED WITH GOOD HEALTH AND HAPPINESS FOR THE COMING YEAR!!!
P.S.
It was Thanksgiving day 2011 dakinetalk blog originally ran the enclosed heartwarming story of my friend Shirili Green whom was dying of cancer. Shrirli has since passed away, however every Thanksgiving I like to remember this beautiful and brave soul with her touching blog. Please note that that Shirili passed away on June 17,2013.
What a beautiful soul and spirit. She will be sorely missed.
G-d bless and Rest In Peace my friend....

I don't care what stores are opened or closed on Thanksgiving.
I don't care if you say merry Christmas or Happy Holidays.
Just be Thankful!

Thank you Kimo and the happiest thanks to you too from Ruth and me. You still amaze me in all you do--keep it up.
