 The Reality of  Sexual misconduct

There have been many sexual abuse claims of late of famous men, the highest profiles of late is
TV profile Matt Lauer and Senator Al Franken.  Most these allegations happened many years ago and the only proof is

the woman's word of mouth. It's a matter of "he said, she said." Some of  these allegations are coming out 40 years later, one month before a candidate is up for election as is with the case with Alabama  Judge Roy Moore who is running for US Senate in a very controversial race.

accused nearly 40 years after the
allegations of sexual misconduct?

Many times it is found these allegations are false, in the meantime it has tarnished or
even ruined the man's life and nothing happens to the perpetrator who may have made false accusations?

There is a double standard when it comes to sexual harassment toward men. However it
happens all the time, men usually don't report it, and when they do they are laughed at and the authorities many times ignore the allegations.

Men are embarrassed to report such things because it makes us sound timid and not macho as we are alleged to be.

I say be careful any  man running  for political office, or any man that may have hurt a woman that wants revenge. Anytime your opponent or ex wants to play dirty they can hire an actress or even a lay person  to make false sexual accusations against their opponent and ruin their careers, and while they may be lying, nothing happens to them.

It's time those who make false  sexual accusations to ruin a man's career  or visa versa  be tried for the same crime they accused their "accuser"  of in lieu of getting off scot free. Should the accusations be true, let the person remain innocent until proven guilty as is the law.

I am sure  some of these accusations are true, while many are not true and  purely publicity stints to gain money vengeance and a person's '15 minutes of fame.'  It's truly a shame because so many innocent lives have been ruined.

Bringing up petty  sexual misconduct from 20-30- or even 40 years ago when it can't even be proven has to be stopped.  it's to the point that you can't even compliment  the opposite sex on saying they look nice, this can be misinterpreted as sexual misconduct.  Oh how the world has changed.

Jan & I had this conversation as well. While neither of us are fans of Franken, this "me too" movement is disturbing. In my professional life, I worked with powerful men. Only a few acted "inappropriately" (hit on me.) They knew I was committed to my fiancé/spouse, & many of them met Jan. When I said no, & that was it. Each time, I received an apology, & it didn't effect our working relationship. I know women, & worked with women who were raped. Sexual assault is not just words. It's a distinction that's being blurred, & I fear it's intentional. 🤔🙏🏽🕎🎄

There should be consequences when falsely reporting too!

Notes on sexual misconduct around the world

world wide politicians & ass holes in authority done them & will do them again especially the rich & the powerful ,you can even put religious clergies in the same category.remember the CASTING COUCH in the old & new Hollywood ? how many stars graduated from this crouch ?

Only in the US we wash our dirty laundry for the world to see to increase circulation for profits on TV & printed journals

Unc,

The world cannot control itself.

It's a scary world. I am glad I am not a young person they are saying on the talk shows that young people would be wise to get a signed contract of consensual sex because you never know what somebody might say in the future?
