" What do you do?..."
What do you do is the number one social question in our society. What do you do refers to what you do for money, to earn a living. Many people ask this question as a prerequisite to see if you meet their expectations and standards. If you are not a doctor or lawyer, they move on...
When I am asked what I do, I say, "a lot, I get up, brush my teeth, stretch, pray, have coffee and breakfast, shower, and then I watch the View, do a little gardening, go for a bike ride with my dog, have lunch, go to the public pool, look for deals at the grocery store, and then I stop at the chinese restaurant to garbage pick my dogs dinner on my way home."
The list is endless of what I do.
Please do not ask what I do, ask my name, tell me your name and say Aloha, everything else will fall in place and divinity will rein.

"Human power..."
If one cannot afford solar power another great alternative never really brought up is human power.
I was recently speaking with a former Kauai county employee and he has an idea he does not mind me sharing...
Human power like solar or wind would be another great alternative. This is how it works. The county, state or any private enterprise could set up a a beautiful state of the art gym, with stationary life-cycle bicycles, stair steppers, running machines, rowing machines, etc... collecting the energy from everyone's workout. Cards would be issued after your workout to show the amount of energy you contributed, the people stay in shape, after all without our health life is much more difficult.
With the energies being collected from the persons workout one could get a free health club membership, the business, state or county gets energy to be converted to electric. The islands have one one of the highest per capita diabetes and obesity among the young. This concept would be a win win for everybody.
"Twenty years..."
Have you ever seen the photo's woman columnists have posted, they are usually from a time much earlier in their careers?
I was recently looking at my women friends photo's on facebook and thought to myself, man she looks great, she hasn't aged in twenty years.
The fact of the matter is that many women , maybe even a few men post photo's of themselves many years younger than their current situation.
I am hoping to get a computer enhanced image of how I would look twenty years from now. I am going to post my photo as I will look twenty years from now, in this way when people meet me in person after actually viewing my photo they will say, "You look so young."
Well ladies, what do you think?

"Blog #100! Rush is a danger..."
The other day I happened upon Rush Lmbaugh's talk radio show, I am not a Rush fan but was interested in listening to what he had to say.
The whole show is basically Obama bashing, Rush going on to say that Obama needs to take responsibility and quit blaming everything on the previous administration. No matter what Obama does Rush plays the devils advocate. Rush does this for ratings,I actually believe Rsh doesn't believe half of what he says.
Rush is a showman in there for ratings and a big paycheck, many Americans believe what Rush makes up on the radio for ratings. Rush is an entertainer, and although I disagree with almost everything he says, he has a charismatic manner about his talk that is fun and easy to listen to.
During these days of recession, the country needs to stand together as one, Rush needs to stop his propaganda before he destroys America.

"Furlough the Pork..."
Instead of furloughing the bread and butter, (teachers, librarians, lifeguards and human service workers,) furlough the pork, (all politician's.) If they are such great public servants, they all need to take a voluntary pay-cut or work pro bono.
Kauai County council members currently make $53,066 a year, the Council chair makes $59,699 a year, plus great health insurance for all council members.
There is only one requirement that they attend one weekly county council meeting, besides that they can manage their time however they wish. they have assigned offices but can work from anywhere they wish. No required hour's are required, their time is all self managed.
Politicians need to step up by example and show what a public servant really is.
If any person in political office were to take a voluntary pay-cut, or work as a volunteer, it would all but guarantee their re-election.
I challenge any politician from the Governor to the Island's Mayor's, to the State Senate, to the State Congress and all Hawaii Island's council members to step up to the plate and be the first to volunteer for a pay-cut, or work pro-bono, any volunteers?
If there are no volunteers, I say furlough all politicians.

"Try generic windex..."
There is a cockroach and mosquito overpopulation where I reside on the cosmic garden Island.
Bug sprays and insect repellents are ultra expensive, even for generic brands your looking at five or more dollars for a 16 oz or smaller can.
I have made a discovery that i would like to share with my blog friends...
I ran out of ant & cockroach spray, so I tried using generic window cleaner that costs around 1.29 at Wal-Marts. Streak free Glass cleaner,a generic windex look alike killed all my cockroaches on contact and when sprayed into the air kept the mosquitoes away and got rid of the flies too.
My conclusion is that ants, mosquitoes and cockroaches can't read anyhow, so try generic windex and save some money!
