"A Pets 10 commandments.." 'Obama Da Dog' (Shabbat Saturday's)

Obama Da Dog is back blogging about mans best friend. Remeber Obama says, " That Dog spelled backwards is God..!"
Welcome to "Shabbat Saturday's." Saturday's are now reserved for subjects of a spiritual matter in honor of the day of rest. This blog was an anonymous email and feel it needs to be heard.  Please send all Shabbat guest blogger submissions to; jrsensei@hotmail.com  Attention;Publisher.

1- My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.

2- Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3- Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.

4- Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.

5- Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.

6- Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.

7- Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.

8- Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.

9- Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.

10- On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

Take a moment today to thank GOD for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them. Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without God's critters.

Below are the words;
God and Dog Lyrics by  WJ Francisco

I look up and I see God
I look down and see my dog
Simple spelling G.O.D
Same words backwards D.O.G

The would stay with me all day
I'm the one who walks away
But both of them just wait for me
and dance at my return at glee

Both love me no matter what
Divine God and and canine mutt
I take it hard each time i fail
But God forgives, Dog wags his tail

God thoud up  and made the dog
Dog reflects a part of God
Ive seen love from both sides now
It's everywhere, amen bow wow

I look up and I see Good
I look down and see my dog
And in my human frailty
I cant match their love for me...

"Oh, Grow up..." 'Michael A. Herr' (Aloha Friday's)

Michael Herr is back as our guest blogger for this Aloha Friday. Michael's blogs seem to get better each week. This week he blogs about growing up, see if you find yourself in any of his explanations, I did.   If you enjoy reading entertaining and exciting fiction check out Michael's website at: http://www.michaelherr.com/

Do we really want to grow up?

ALOHA FRIDAY
Don't forget out check out Michael's great fiction at his website; http://www.michaelherr.com/  I just finished his fourth book, "The Old Queen's Murder." a Serial killer and a copycat end up on the big Island, another nail biter, i could not put down.   You can purchase the whole set, 6 books for only $18.00 including P&H
Oh, grow up !

Ever hear that phrase? When you were in elementary or grammar school, or even in high school, did anyone ever tell you to just "Grow up!"? Maybe it was an adult who used that phrase when you got on their nerves; whining for a toy that you'd been told you couldn’t have. Maybe it was another kid, disgusted at hanging around with someone who acted like a baby. If it was a girl responding to your attempts at affection, then it was particularly hard to take.

So what did you do? Sulk? Take your toys and go home? Complain about how unfair you were being treated? Or maybe you tired to pull yourself a little taller and act more like a grown-up?

What did those who told you to "grow up" mean? They probably weren't referring to your physical being. No, they most likely meant you should act more mature. More like an adult. And how does an adult act? Unfortunately, we all know the answer to that question. Adults act just like kids.

Was there a bully at your school? Probably. And maybe that person still bullies other, just in different ways. Like browbeating someone in a conversation. Or maybe pushing ahead in a line since their business is more important than yours. Possibly forcing you to go to a restaurant of their choosing all the time, rather than the one you prefer.

Was there a class clown at your school? Someone who made a joke out of everything? Today you might watch that person on late-night television; think Leno or Letterman. Or they might be that annoying friend who, when you're trying to have a serious discussion, keeps interjecting little 'humorous' comments. Either to keep off the serious stuff, or to belittle you. Sometimes they're just plain sarcastic.

How about a teacher's pet? Was there someone in your class who just loved to pass out papers, sharpen the pencils, clap the erasers — report on what their classmates had done? Someone always ready to tell the teacher how wonderful it would be to do that extra assignment, or to re-read that chapter in the history book? Today they're probably in an office somewhere telling their boss what wonderful ideas he has and how that new ad campaign will rocket sales. We have a name today for people like this — brown-nosers.

Was there a flirt? A girl (yes, I'll be sexist here) who led all the boys on. A girl who would touch her hair, bat her eyelashes, fiddle with the buttons on her shirt (or yours)? We had a name for her kind back then too — p****-teaser.

Maybe a whiner? A kid in class who always groaned no matter how short the assignment the teacher gave? A kid who struck out at baseball and always had a complaint about the pitcher, the wind, the crowd in the bleachers, the sun in his eyes? Where is he today? Why, he's the one who writes all those letters to the editor.

So, did you know any of these kids when you were in school? Guess what? They haven't changed a bit. Those habits are ingrained now and carried over to their adulthood. They didn't grow up. They got taller, they lost their hair, they put on weight. But their basic character stayed the same.

Last question for the day, do you recognize yourself in any of these kids? No? Neither do they.

So if you run into any of them today, just tell them to Grow Up.

Much aloha.

" The Next President..." 'Marvin Gross' (Facetious Thursday's)

Our guest blogger for this 'Facetious Thursdays' is my brother-in-law 'Marvin Gross,' he is a Financial adviser who lives in the suburbs of Western N.Y.
Migrant workers tending the garden... Not really, that's Yoshi and Kimo enjoying their hobby of gardening...

WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR ANY U.S. PRESIDENT, DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN, GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH?

'My Fellow Americans: As you all know, the defeat of the Iraq regime has been completed.Since Congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete.

This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq . This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now time to begin the reckoning.

Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short. The United Kingdom , Spain , Bulgaria , Australia , and Poland are some of the countries listed there.

The other list contains every one not on the first list. Most of the world's nations are on that list. My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.

Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war.

THEN EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER It'll GO TO OUR SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM SO IT WONT GO BROKE IN 20 YEARS.

The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world Hell holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.

Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France ...

In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social  problems we still have at home. On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth.

Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France or maybe China .

I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France , and Russia . Thanks for all your help, comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well.

I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed. I don't care ab out whatever treaty pertains to this. You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets.. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benzes, Beamers and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York.

A special note to our neighbors: Canada is on List 2. Since we are likely to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might want to try not ticking us off for a change.

Mexico is also on List 2. Its president and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment.

I will have a couple thousand extra tanks and infantry divisions sitting around. Guess where I am going to
put 'em? Yep, border security.Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA treaty - starting now.

We are tired of the one-way highway. Immediately, we'll be drilling for oil in Alaska -which will take care of this country's oil needs for decades to come. If you're an environmentalist who opposes this decision, I refer you to List 2 above: pick a country and move there.

It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying, 'darn tootin.'

Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet. It is time to eliminate hunger in America . It is time to eliminate homelessness in America .

To the nations on List 1.a final thought. Thank you guys. We owe you and we won't forget.

To the nations on List 2, a final thought: You might want to learn to speak Arabic.

God bless America ..!

Let's get this to every USA computer!)

Re-elect Nobody!

"Romance ain't what it used to be..."‏ 'James "Kimo" Rosen' (Harmonic Wednesdays)

"Romance ain't what it used to be..."Just ask Obama Da dog!

Have you ever looked at craigslist classifieds under personal? There are a few categories, the one I check every so often is 'woman seeking men.' Every ad starts out the same, I've never tried this before and looking for a drama free man, whose looking for a drama fed man? And anyone who starts an ad with I have never done this before probably has, since my old favorite psychological expression is "only the guilty speak."

I have checked the other personals like 'casual encounters' on local craigslist and was blown away by people posting pictures of their private parts in an excited state. Is this even legal? looking for dates has changed with the advent of the numerous dating sites like 'e harmony' and 'craigslist...' It used to be you took a girl to dinner and a movie and hoped for a good night kiss and then maybe on the second date you may get more than a kiss, now people are up front asking for all kinds of sexual favors in black and white.

Posting a photo of  ones private part's online or asking for sexual favors in a classified just doesn't have any romance to it. Craigslist may be the cheapest way to sell your old furniture or used car, however when it comes to dating or looking for that someone special, call me old fashioned however I prefer to keep it special, and special it remains in the back seat of my Chevy.

Romance just ain't what it used to be...

Remember if you like this blog, tell your friends, post it on Facebook, tweet it and talk about it at the office...

"Reasoning based upon observation is not very sound..." James "kimo" Rosen' (Cosmic Tuesdays)

Welcome back  me! That's me (James "Kimo" Rosen) back in Alaska in 1983 along the Rocky River's edge, six silver salmon in 15 minutes!
My sister Nancy (coos) visiting me in Alaska in 1993, 6 months before she left this earth...
If you enjoy dakinetalk please post it on your favorite social networking site, forward it to friends and talk story about it to your friends and family,,!

In a small town island atmosphere, people seem to know things about you before you yourself know.

My sister was dying of bladder cancer at age 45 back in 1993, she looked much younger than her 45 years and was physically in shape, she wore wigs, since she had lost her hair to chemotherapy. My sister was very weak and could barely get out of bed, however once she was out and about in public she put on an act, she smiled, dressed in beautiful styled clothes and always had a smile and kind word although she was in constant distress.

There was an incident where she drove up to a shopping center and proceeded to park in a disabled parking space, since she had a disabled permit from her city. There was a group of people standing yelling at her and calling her names because they thought she didn't belong there because she looked nice, that is she didn't look sick, if they only knew... My sister passed away 3 months later.

People are constantly accused of things by people who don't know them personally because some people feel they know what's happening in that persons life by the coconut wireless and gossip. Please remember to not make accusations against others just by hearsay or from what you hear during a talk story session with your friends.

Remember the theory, "reasoning's based upon observations are not very sound." To paraphrase, please don't gossip and if you do be prepared for the consequences because what goes around comes around and then some.
Rest in peace my sister, I Love you...

"Growing old gracefully..." 'Judith Whitehead' (Inspirational Monday's)

Inspiration Monday's are back with guest blogger Judy Whitehead, this blog is about, growing old gracefully. To a long and healthy life.... Below, author and guest blogger Judith Whitehead poses for the camera  with her 92 year old father, Burt Meyers. Enjoy..

Growing old gracefully, a term we hear more often these days when our families are living to a very ripe older age. Today our parents, through the help of technology and healthy living are quickly approaching the triple digits. It is all of our wishes to grow old gracefully but it doesn't happen all that easily for many.

My own father was and is still for the most part, healthy as a horse, but is growing older in front of my eyes. Living a very active and full life up until a few years ago when health reasons nudged him into a community senior living arrangement, he seemed to enjoy life for the most part. He would go about his day, driving to his favorite coffee spots, visiting friends in the area and playing an occasional golf game. That was when he was
independently living, driving and taking care of all his own needs. All it can take is one event to change a persons’ life forever. Take away a seniors’ driving privileges, and total independence, as they try to adjust to a new way of life, can be the hardest challenge of their lives they will ever have to face. One day just rolls into the next, day and night repeat themselves month after month and pretty soon it’s hard to tell even what day it is.

There is less and less to talk to people about after seeing and eating with the same people every day. The most disturbing part of living with others in the same age group, that would be 80 to 90 year olds, is that one never knows when they will meet their maker.

Friendships are formed only to be broken soon after, when friends and acquaintances pass away. Still, senior community residences play a very important part for many families ; if seniors are unable to live alone and need a safe place to live, others will look out for them. The pressure of keeping up a home with all its necessities is a relief not to worry about any longer.

As my dad approaches 92 years old, I can see even more clearly now, how important it is to do all of those things you want to, and try and accomplish your goals during those years when you are able. I can not believe that I am in “middle age” already although they now say that the 50’s are the new 40’s. These recent years are like a dream so I can only imagine what they have been like for my own father. My dad has been a man of simple needs, valuing self worth that has brought him satisfaction. He and my mothers’ life had been full of wonderful times to remember and cherish; they were able to travel and enjoy their lives to the fullest. Each day I see my dad reminds me of how life moves along year by year at such speed. We spend all week looking forward and focusing on the weekend instead of making the most out of each day.

I am amazed at how old our seniors are becoming these days. The ailing ones tell me not to get old; they are not impressed with the Golden Years. It makes it all the more important to me to set goals and try and live by them; live our lives with meaning each day. Our future generations are going to live a lot longer than we are, with the way we are focusing on health prevention; all the more reason to enjoy our lives to the very fullest so
we can look back as my dad can and say he did it all. As long as we have our health, we have the power inside of each of us to pursue our goals; all we need is determination and focus.

"Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be..." A poem that Judy's parents lived by. Below her mom and dad enjoying each other's  company reading the daily newspaper in their favorite spot.

"Don't worry, be Happy, True Heroes, Woman do it for the right reasons, The Naked Moll...." James "Kimo" Rosen (Serious Sundays)

Welcome to 'Serious Sunday's,' similar to your Sunday newspaper being bigger and fuller than the rest of the week, Serious Sunday's acts in much the same giving you more for your buck with multiple posts every Sunday on dakinetalk! (Blogs #362-#363-#364-#365)

This blog is about the necessity to support the things you enjoy, if you can afford to.. "Don't worry be happy...".Blog #362

The recent news of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser charging for an online premium version is something we should all heed support of if we are able. If we are not able, I believe there will be a free online version also, just not as much content. http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/20110724_Star_Advertiser_to_charge_for_premium_online_content.html

I live on Kaua'i and the Kaua'i Garden Island News ( http://www.kauaiworld.com/ ) (an excellent periodical) has a paid 'e' subscription that shows the entire paper. The free online version has headlines and 'Letters to editor.' If you have the money support your local periodicals before they became a thing of the past, in the mean time you will still be getting something for nothing if that's your choice.

Don't worry be happy, at least Honolulu still has a daily newspaper, for those reading this outside of Hawaii the same applies to whatever periodical you read frequently, support them, for soon they will be gone as everything else in these recessed times

Please remember to support your hometown newspapers if you are financially able. Newspaper are becoming fewer and farther removed and before long we may be only getting our news from blogs and bloggers like me, yikes!  :D)
''Obama Da Dog' is back blogging about true heroes..."True Heroes..." Blog #363
My parents pictured above never ran for public office, but the world would had been a better place if they had...
Politicians love to see there names in print, they are narcissists, they think their poop not stink dakine...

Humble, good citizens don't have thick enough skin to run for office, it's a dog eat dog profession.

True heroes will never be elected, since they are a different character, a good character, an honest character, that is hardly never found in career politician.

"Woman do it for the right reason..."‏ Blog #364
They say men who run for public office do it because they want to be somebody and be known. Woman who run for public office want to make change and do something. They say this is the reason why woman politicians don't get involved in sex scandals as do their male counterparts. Woman actually want to accomplish a goal, men just enjoy the high profile and ego. This is from 'Rutgers research.'

Next election, vote for all woman if you want something to actually be accomplished, otherwise we can keep whining about weiners and be bombarded with scandal after scandal...

Last but not least a Motivational Message Blog from My Brother-in-Law 'Marvin Gross,' the financial planner from Western New York... " The Naked Moll," Blog #365
