"A Book Report on The Four Man Plan..." 'Harmony Bentosino' (Harmonic Thursday)

Welcome back Dakinetalk's good friend 'Harmony Bentosino!'
Harmony recently completed  her Masters degree in counseling.
Harmony  resides in Kapolei, Hawaii on the island of Oahu...
Harmony blogs about the Four Man Plan, a book
about woman who suck at love.
Above photo of Harmony giving a speech
on the same subject at a recent Toastmasters meeting...

A Book Report on The Four Man Plan

The Four Man Plan
 is available on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/
The-Four-Man-Plan-Romantic/dp/145371782X
Are you single, and would you like to be dating and find that special someone?
You can do it based on a book by Cindy Lu called The Four Man Plan. The author
claims this is a book for women who suck at love. I include myself in that group. For
some reason we have been unable to find a stable, long lasting relationship. Maybe we
were too picky. Perhaps, we said we would only date men who are wealthy, good looking, and drive a fancy car, or maybe we refused to date men who were short.

With this plan we date everybody. The only qualities we are looking for are honest, loving, and willing. Willing means he is willing to share new experiences. We have to date a man long enough to determine if he possesses those qualities.

The only men we do not date are those who are married, abusive, or “icky.” Cindy Lu explains icky does not mean superficial characteristics like a receding hairline. Icky is one of those things that you know it when you see it.

Now, if you are a man, this book is also for you because if you are interested in a woman who is following the plan, the book will tell you exactly what you have to do to win her heart, her mind, and whatever else you want to win!

Cindy is a mathematical genius who has turned the art of love into the science of math. From the title of this book, it would seem that a woman who wants to find a man must be dating four, but it’s more complicated. Cindy says that when you first date a
man he is only a quarter man. That means you could be dating 16 men! So what must a quarter man do to become a half? On the second or third date, you must tell the man about the plan because it only works when he knows he is competing.

Men love competition. It brings out their chivalrous qualities. It is the opposite for women. Competing for men, brings out the worst qualities in women. This is a biological imperative. Whichever gender of a specific species, is the more attractive,
that is the one that is fought over. With peacocks, the females fight for the males, but with humans, let’s face it, Ladies, we are the pretty ones, and the men compete for us!

The last time I halved a man, I found a clever way to do it. It was our third date. We attended a Toastmaster Club meeting where I was the scheduled speaker. I spoke
about the Four Man Plan, and he heard about it for the first time!
Harmony giving her speech
at Toastmasters on
'The Four Man Plan."

So what must a half man do to become whole? Cindy states there are two ways. One is for there to be a level of physical intimacy that is more than a long good night kiss but less than full on sex. In her book, she goes into graphic detail about what exactly she means by that. The second way a man becomes whole is if he uses the 'L' word. Men in
competition for women tend to talk about love- probably because it is easier to talk about love than to actually do love. But there you have it- that’s a whole man.

How do you keep him whole? The answer is you delay having actual sex for as long as you can! There is an axiom that states a man will only be as nice to you as he needs to be to get you into bed. We are looking for honest, loving, and willing, but men
who want to go to bed with you can appear honest, loving, and willing! You need to date him long enough to develop the trust that he will still be there for you after you go to bed
with him.

Once you make the decision to sleep with a man his value increases to two and a quarter. Cindy, our mathematical genius, is making the point that if you slept with two men, their value would add up to more than four, and that’s too many.

According to this plan, once you sleep with a man, you still continue to date other men even though you are not sleeping with them. There are three reasons for this: It makes you less needy, you have a basis for comparison, and your two and a quarter man
knows he is still competing for you.

How much higher can a two and a quarter man go? Can he ever equal four men? No, one man can’t be everything. The highest he can achieve is three and a half. For that to happen, you already have honest, willing, and loving. In addition, you need for the
man to ask to have an exclusive relationship with you, and you love him. Then you can stop dating other men, and you have your three and a half which is as good as it gets! If you want to find a fulfilling relationship, I recommend you read The Four Man Plan by Cindy Lu.

"Daydreams and the Perfect Moment..." 'Bettejo Dux' (Vintage Bettejo)

Bettejo Dux has lived on the cosmic Garden
Island of Kaua'i for over 40 years.

Bettejo is a regular opinion writer in the Garden Island news
and is the author of the famed novella, "The Scam."
 Her latest fiction"Children of extinction"
is now  released and available on Amazon!
Daydreams and the Perfect Moment

Steve Saylor & Bettejo at the
27th annual Taste of Hawai'i...
There should be bright little signs we can drape around our necks that say: DO NOT DISTURB DAYDREAMER AT WORK...

...OR PLAY. Careful here. There are those who think play is a thing we do Sunday at the beach, or the golf course, or trotting down a bridle path to never-never.

Daydreams  and daydreamer are  special things. They should go hand- in- hand with the prefect moment. Don't you think?

Daydreams are personal. The perfect personal fascinating moment only we can know. Only we can imagine. They are ours to own and not to share. They can be filled with love and laughter, scents and soft caresses, and maybe the sensational taste of whatever we think tastes sensational. We can put music to that French Cherry pie and dance with it. Or  fly with  a  red Royal Poinciana that sings like a White-rumped Shama and flits through a bamboo grove at Smith's Tropical Paradise.

Imagine!

You can toss creations like this  around  light as whistles in a breeze. Anywhere. Any time. Savor them. Soak them up like bubbles in a fragrant bubble bath and never let them  go. Until someone gives you a poke in the ass and slams you with a  get back to work blast of hot air. But quick! You can turn this doddering horror into mite on a mouse that scurries and scuttles asunder. Send it to perdition. Crumple it like bits of  over-salted chippys.

Tape and file your perfect daydream moment on a disc in your mind you can call up at any moment. Be there now.

Instantly.

You don't need an iPod or a cell phone or a Royal Royce or Lear to get you there. And it didn't cost you nothin'. Drives the doddering horrors to distractions.

You don't need a Carnival Cruise  that can turn into something very other- than- perfect at any given moment.

You don't need a lover or a friend or a church or club group. All you need is you, love. All you need is you.

Studies indicate the average person spends eight hours a day daydreaming.

Studies also state the daydreamer looks like a drooling, slack- lipped rutabagas on Dramamine.

Ha!!

Doddering horrors have had imagination and creativity punched out of them. Long ago they lost it. They see dollar signs. They see expensive silk- lined coffins standing stiffly still as death in dim-lit rooms draped in long black veils. They hear voices like rusty fog horns. Songs that shudder the ear and drown in the silence.

A quote, with small changes, I blank plagiarism. "The scientific community continues to unlock these and other mysteries behind daydreams. A recent discovery pointed to a negative correlation with technology, finding the constant presence of screens and devices in our lives to be robbing our weary brains of restful daydream moments, resulting in a tragic drop in imaginary revelry for  all."

I'm goin' back to Smith's Tropical Paradise and sit on a bench beneath a tree. See you there.

"Why I love Rabbis..." 'Chester "Unc" Lau' (Source)

Dakinetalks favorite Uncle (Chester Lau)
"Unc"  is really passionate about creating a national Caregivers day.
Any help , support or ideas would be greatly appreciated...
'Unc' currently resides on the Hawai'ian Island of Oahu.
He is a retired cinematographer,
and  enjoys giving the politicians a bad time...

"I am PRO-CHOICE ON EVERYTHING WITH RESPONSIBILITY..."

Why I love Rabbis

In A priest was called away for an emergency.  Not wanting to leave the confessional unattended, he called his rabbi friend from across the street and asked him to cover for him.  The rabbi told him he wouldn't know what to say, but the priest told him to come on over and he'd stay with him for a little bit and show him what to do.

The rabbi comes and he and the priest are in the confessional.
A few minutes later, a woman comes in and says, "Father forgive me for I have sinned."  The priest asks "What did you do?"  The woman says,
"I committed adultery."
Priest: "How many times?"
Woman: "Three times."
Priest: "Say two Hail Mary's, put five dollars in the box and go and
sin no more."

A few minutes later a man enters the confessional.  Hes says, "Father forgive me for I have sinned."
Priest: "What did you do?"
Man: "I committed adultery."
Priest:"How many times?"
Man: "Three times."
Priest: "Say two Hail Mary's, put five dollars in the box and go and
sin no more."
The rabbi tells the priest that he thinks he's got it so the priest
leaves.
A few minutes later another woman enters and says, "Father forgive me for I have sinned."
Rabbi:"What did you do?"
Woman: "I committed adultery."
Rabbi: "How many times?"
Woman: "Once."
Rabbi: "Go do it two more times.  We have a special this week, three for five dollars."   Oy Vey!  ;-)

              President Obama can set up a confessional in the White house or the Out House with a collection box for the US treasury ,there will be many    confessions  by sinning politicians & molesting clergies to enrich our treasury to abolish  IRS >:-}

The Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui had   the longest lines for their outrageously delicious Ebi Tempura Musubi.
The Ebi Tempurura musubi was one
of the most delicious entrees!

My  other favorite on this hot Sunday was a simple shaved ice with natural organic toppings topped with vanilla on a super fine crushed ice. This shave ice was  like no other shaved ice on the planet, not the normal sugar syrup shave ice, but a  fresh healthy treat made by Hee Fat of Kapaa.

If you are a food connoisseur, this is the one place you should go every year, if nowhere else.

My friends joke, but it's true. I am a hermit besides this one event. I live for this one event. See you all next year, same time same station!

"Cataracts will cause Blindness if not treated..." 'Judith Whitehead' (Inspiration Sunday)

Judith Whitehead lives in Amherst New York.
and has worked in the ophthalmology
field of medicine for over 30 years

Cataracts will cause Blindness if not treated

I have been working in the medical field for many years in the field of Ophthalmology and still can’t believe we still see people coming in for exams who are almost blind from treatable cataracts. It’s the one form of an eye aliment that can be cured with a simple procedure. Besides cost for those that don’t have insurance, it seems to be fear that prevents them from treatment. I am still amazed at what little some know about this simple procedure done outpatient that can restore someone’s sight almost
immediately.

We are all born with the potential of developing a cataract which is the clouding lens of the eye.

Even in our 40’s and 50’s there are imperfections in the lens that can cause some visual problems, glare and trouble driving at night. When I have people come in that can hardly see anything, it amazes me that it is fear of the unknown that stops them from restoring sight by removing the lens and placing a synthetic implant in its place.

A recent group of patients that had their surgeries done came in the
office the following day expressing words such as amazing, unbelievable and pure joy. I also heard people say,” I had no idea I had so many wrinkles or I can read again or is that how bright colors really are?” It is one of the best aspects of my job to enjoy watching the restoration of vision unfold before
myeyes.

Today there are so many diseases and ailments that can’t be cured, it is still amazing that cataract surgery is a total cure to vision restoration still. The surgery has been streamlined so much that it is
done in a short time , outpatient and vision starts improving that very day. There are many surgeries to fear in life but this is not one of them. I have seen people who had to stop working because of their eyesight and once the cataracts were removed, they returned to their jobs and got their lives back.Sounds so simple, but is was fear that kept them from the surgery.

Most insurance policies do cover  most of the surgery and medicare will cover 80% of the cost of new glasses post op if needed.
In a world of incurable diseases and ailments, I am so glad I work in a field that brings pleasure to many.

I have the very beginnings of cataracts as my husband does, but it’s not time to do any procedure yet. I am lucky, I only have to wear readers because I have crossed the line into the “senior” level where we all have to pull the newspaper 20 inches away to read it without glasses on. I put my readers on and wham…my problem is solved.

People who are sun worshipers, diabetics, steroid users, and other medical ailments may develop cataracts sooner than others. Surgery is only done one eye at a time; after that eye is a success than the
other fellow eyes’ cataract can be removed. Safety first…If someone only has one eye, than usually we wait until the cataract eye is interfering greatly with vision.

So to all those who are struggling with their vision; get an eye evaluation. It may be simple cataracts that are obstructing your vision. Your world will open up to all that you have been missing .

How old do you think I am

A man decided to have a face lift for his birthday. He spends $ 5,000 and feels really good about the result. On his way home he stops at a newsstand and buys a paper. Before leaving he says to the salesclerk, "I hope you don't mind me asking, but how old do you think I am?"
A Bitos delight! Shared from Facebook...

"About 35," was the reply. "I'm actually 47," the man says, feeling really happy. After that he goes into McDonalds for lunch, and asks the order taker the same question, to which the reply is, "Oh you look about 29."

"I am actually 47." This makes him feel really good.
Bitos is the best source of jokes!
Mahalo Nui our friend and blogger!

While standing at the bus stop he asks an old woman the same question. She replies, "I am 85 years old and my eyesight is going. But when I was young there was a sure way of telling a mans age. If I put my hand down your pants and play with your hairy walnuts for ten minutes I will be able to tell your exact age."

As there was no one around, the man thought what the hell and let her slip her hand down his pants. Ten minutes later the old lady says, "OK, it's done. You are 47."
Coming to Pizza Hut soon!

Stunned the man says, "That was brilliant! How did you do that?" The old lady replies, "I was behind you in McDonalds."

We must not lose the child in us
We must not lose the magic.

We must never lose the lover, that would be truly tragic.

We are funny loving creatures
All of us together Skipping through the universe, holding hands forever Laughing in the face of fate.

Knowing that the game is
Always different always new
And always just the same.

We’ve worn a million costumes, we’ve played a million roles
But writing the script of the play we’re in
Is always in our control.

So come my darling darlings and play the game with glee
So  the heading of this brave new act
Can be titled thee and me.
