"Everyone, keep your ideas coming...." 'Obama Da Dog'

"Obama Da Dog comes up with her best idea's while driving her favorite car..."

Ironically, again this blog was also published as an opinion article in the Kaua'i Garden Island news, this same day, 01-31-12,with the title,"Keep the ideas coming..."

Any-time someone has an idea to better Kauai' others will comprehend it as if that person doesn't like it here, quite the contrary, the person giving the feedback only wants to help better the situation.

Why is it when someone has an idea that doesn't fit another's agenda in-evidently someone will tell them to move?

Someone may say, "I want more roads," the response would be, "if you don't like it here move back to where you came from." A person may say, "A ferryboat sounds like a good idea," the response might be, "ferry boats only bring drug dealers and the homeless, so move back to where you came from." Someone may say, "the marathon needs to be privately sponsored in lieu of being taxpayer subsidized, others will say, "go back to where you came from if you aren't happy here." Someone may even say, "we need a new bridge," and others will call you a four letter name and tell you to go back to where you came from.

Here's an idea for everyone, why not stay right where you are, keep your idea's coming to help make our cosmic hamlet of an island all it can be. Who knows your feedback may someday be a reality that helps us all....

Doug, along the old expression of the grass always being greener on the other side, Don't get me wrong, Hawai'i is beautiful, but is much different actually living here than beinhg a tourist, as is anywhere... and btw, I am back to my 22" HP, HD monitor, my phone is restored my DSL is alive, my wifi again works in my tv, praise the L-rd! :D)

Douglas Dunn said via facebook;" No, actually Kimo, that is the point I was making.
I agree with you.

For most of my life, I lived in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, where the beaches were accessible but it was a whole day's adventure to go there.

... Then I moved to Oceanside in 1991 (where I lived 13 years before moving to Escondido), and driving along the beach became a commonplace occurrence in the normal course of daily activity. At first it was amazing to be so close to the beach, but after awhile you start to take it for granted.

It is not that the grass is greener on the other side; it is that the diamond shines bright when the gem is a rare treat. If diamonds popped up in gardens like common rocks, they would be discarded as annoyances. Those who only visit paradise as an occasional treat savor and appreciate its true beauty. If one eats only dessert, one forgets that others find it to be a treat."

But my heart and soul are on Kalalau Beach, and I REALLY appreciate when body joins heart and soul."

So near, yet so far away."

I know people born and raised here that have never been to Waimea canyon. The locals and us transplants that condier themselves local try to stay clear of where the tourists go...

"3-D" said via facebook;""Waimea Canyon is also a beautiful treasure, and from Koke‘e State Park one has an overlook of Kalalau from the top. Both top-down and bottom-up views are spectacular.

One who is too close to the trees to see the forest should not avoid places of beauty just because they are rightly celebrated by those who appreciate their true worth."

I am a non-conformist, the places I really enjoy are places others do not frequent...
