"Advances on modern science..." 'Judith Whitehead' (Inspirational Monday)

"Guest-blogger Judith Whitehead lives in Amherst N.Y. and has worked in the ophthalmology field of medicine for over 30 years..." She talks about the modern day invention of electric garage doors...

Advances on modern science

It only took 38 years for us to get an electric garage door opener; I guess we never saw the need. Someone’s car was always stored in the garage and we didn’t open and close it very much. Now that my husband and I are adding a few more birthday candles to the cake, losing my young sons’ brute strength along with the hernias we have…it seemed like a good idea to get some help opening the 2 ½ car garage insulated heavy door.

It is amazing that such a simple tool can invoke so much happiness! We are so delighted each time we need to move a car or get something from the garage that we seem to find an excuse to open the door now. It’s surely the little things that count, isn’t it.

Editor's note, Dakinetalk guest bloggers do not necessarily represent the opinions of dakinetalk. Guest bloggers are given space to express their beliefs and or opinions. We feel there are many roads and like to give people space to express their thoughts,after-all that's what dakine is...Aloha, James "Kimo" Rosen, Publisher
