I have just spent a grueling week of advocating for my 92 yr. old dad who has been in the hospital with some serious medical issues. I can’t count the number of phone calls and hospital surprise visits that I have made to make myself heard. Why do some doctors look at the elderly and just treat the symptoms and not the cause. AMONG his several medical symptoms, my dad has pancreatitis…from where, we have no idea and neither did the Doctor. IT TOOK GREAT CONVINCING TO EVEN HAVE HIM BRING IN A SPECIALIST to let him take a look at dad and run some tests so we could have some answers. It really comes down to this…..
If you question a Doctor as to
his medical protocol and he resists and gets offended….get another doctor!!
Any professional that takes offense to your concerns and requests is not worth having.
