"Credit theft..." 'Judith Whitehead' (Inspiration Sunday)

Judith Whitehead lives in Amherst New York and has worked in
the ophthalmology field of medicine for over 30 years.

 Credit theft

Whenever we travel I always call my credit card companies to let them know because each time I use them, the company will shut it down for suspicious usage. It is good in a way but inconvenient.

I am sooo glad they do that because I got a call last night on a card that I rarely use with suspicious  questioning. They told me that there were 3 transactions on my card that they declined and wondered if they were mine.  THEY WERE NOT...I had used that card only once recently on line with a reputable company for a purchase or so I thought.  They must have hacked into it on that website.

When the man from my credit company started to ask me what my address was and if I had put in a change yesterday..then I got really suspicious of him.  I told him no offense but I am going to call back my credit card company for verification,  It turned out he was legitimate but one can't be too careful.  Immediately I closed the account and had them reissue another card, to be so bold as to even change my address with the company to take over the account blows me away.

Be careful out there people...dangerous people are lurking on the web.

I no longer have any credit cards. I am on a cash basis only except for a few transactions made on my debit card. The debit card is linked to a bank account with very little money... Whenever i get a suspicious call, I pretend I cannot hear, I say WHAT? WHAT? I CANT HEAR YOU!
