"A Lawyer and a Blonde..." 'Robert Bitos Gandia' (Source)

A Lawyer and a Blonde

A lawyer boarded an airplane in New Orleans with
A box of frozen crabs and asked a blonde flight
Attendant take care of them for him.

She took the Box and promised to put it in the crew's
Refrigerator. He advised her that he was holding
Her personally responsible for them staying
Frozen, mentioning in an arrogant manner that he
Was a lawyer, and threatened what would happen to
Her if she let them thaw out.

Shortly before landing in New York, she used the
Intercom to announce to the entire cabin, "Would
The lawyer who gave me the crabs in New Orleans,
Please raise your hand?"

Not one hand went up ... So she took them home and
Ate them.

There are two lessons here:
1. Lawyers aren't as smart as they think they are.
2. Blondes aren't as dumb as most folks think.

P.S.

"Slurs..." 'Bettejo Dux' (Classic Wednesday)

Bettejo Dux has lived on the cosmic Garden Island of Kaua'i for over 40 years.
Bettejo is a regular opinion writer in the Garden Island news and is the author of the
famed novella, "The Scam."  Her latest fiction
"Children of Extinction" is now  released and available on Amazon!
SLURS

I thought this might be an interesting topic for today’s column since it seems so many of the mindless on the Forum discussion line uses them. Over and over and over they resort to silly, childish, stupid name-calling. Dirt heaping and ridiculous accusations slop like waste from a plugged up toilet overflowing. Slurs always have a negative impact. They are antonyms, or opposite to, most positive words and are most often used by ‘lower class’ minds; but they can be used and deliberately created by brilliant minds who know how to use them. They are always abusive and intended to denote a negative effect.

They can be racial. They can be political. They can be sexual. They are used by racists and misogynist and, admittedly, by both political parties in our country. They are used because they are effective. Simple minds respond to foolish slurs but I think I could make a case that they are most often a Republican tactic.

Verbally they are dull, flat, bland and often bald-faced lies. When one cannot respond to a question or a query, ridicule, accusation and scandal come in handy. If one dislikes or fears a more fertile and productive mind slurs are slung about like empty burger boxes out the window of a speeding car.

Anyone who does not spout the party line the slur addict or affectionado adheres to, is spit at and, if all else fails rocks and bricks are tossed with intent to physically harm. When the first round of slurs are ineffective the slurist hauls it up a notch.

So, ratcheting this up a notch or two, we come to this brief high-class political slur: Obama is the anti Christ.

This certifiable comment, this infantile fairy tale, goes like this: the anti Christ will be a man in his forties, he will be of Muslim decent, people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace…

I have also read Sol Weingarten’s My Daily Rules to Live and totally, whole-heartedly, disagree. Do not turn the other cheek. Talk back. If reasoning minds do not respond to idiotic claims, idiotic claims become the order of the day. Once again I invoke Hitler, who rid Germany-in ovens or elsewhere-of those who did not buy his madness, and soon, everyone was mad. Goose steppers. Skin-headed, Joseph Goebbels propaganda believing nincompoops.

I love Naomi Klein and Naomi Wolf. Nasty slurs and mud-slinging can only be countered with facts. Democracy can only survive if people get noisy.

I hold these truth to be self-evident…

"For Gods sake, the Dairy is not a Nuclear Power Plant..." 'James"Kimo" Rosen'

For Gods sake, the Dairy is not a Nuclear Power Plant...

For well over a year the Garden island news has published numerous letters and articles on the proposed dairy farm to be erected on the south shore.

Many are saying the number one and number two issues  are urine and feces from the cows (get it?)  which are said to result in pollution.
At least there are no drug dealers and homeless being brought into this argument. (Get it?) That was the brainchild excuse for the anti Super Ferry movement.

The fact of the matter is that if this wasn't a dairy but a shopping  center, hotel, big box store, affordable housing development  or another form of mass transit to  travel off island it would still be be met  by a group of people known as anti's that are opposed to anything and everything.  I believe that they believe they represent the Aloha spirit.

I understand nobody wants their space invaded. it's like a dog not wanting other dogs on the territory where they have peed.

The ones doing the most complaining about any developments on island are the transplants themselves. The ones who call themselves local because their parents immigrated here via cruise ships and first class overpriced airline tickets or whom stumbled here via a one way plane ticket.

For Gods sake people, the dairy is not a nuclear power plant. Just imagine the government wanting to erect a nuclear power plant on Kaua'i?

Lets face it, no matter what is being built anywhere on Kauai will be met with opposition.

Remember the dairy mans motto;"Be kind to udders!"

I stand in support of free enterprise!

"Disney hits century mark in admission cost..." 'Kimo's world #60'

Kimo's world #60
Disney hits century mark in admission cost

This meme was used to promote
 this blog on social media
this past week...

Disneyland  opened on July 17, 1955 Making it 60 years old this coming July.  Disney World hits century mark plus in admission cost...

Visiting "The Happiest Place On Earth" or as many call it 'America's Park' will have you digging deep into your pocketbooks.

Single-day tickets for the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, are now $105. Thirty years ago  in 1985  tickets were $14.00. I thought that was high back then.

People are upset over this. Imagine 3 kids, mom and dad---5 people---that's $500.00 just in admission cost. This does not include the overpriced food vendors that makes one think they are on the Garden Island of Kaua'i.

Many families are saying they will no longer go to Disneyland or Disney world. America's park, or an American ripoff?

Facebook quotes;
" With $5 cokes, $5 corn dogs, $5 ice cream sandwiches. "Basically $5 for everything once you enter the park. Wanna bring your own snacks after paying $105 per head...no way...you are searched for 'security reasons."

"$105.00 entry, Looks like Mickey Mouse has morphed into Porky Pig.
And an obscenely greedy mouse by any other name still looks like a pig!

How much profit will be enough? I guess Disney is turning in to an exclusive upper class club for the affluent. The Magic of Disney has been ruined by greedy shareholders. It's just getting too expensive to wish upon a star nowadays and Walt has to be turning in his grave. This really is heart-breaking. What are you guys thinking?!

"Finally,  I wonder what Mr. Disney would think. 30 years ago, a one-day ticket for the main Disneyland park -- prior to California Adventure opening -- was $14."

All this fanfare of admission increase after a measles outbreak was linked to Disneyland

Since 1987, the phrase," "I'm going to Disneyland!" and ""I'm going to Disney World!"have been used as part of Disney's "What's Next?" campaign following the NFL Superbowl every year. Quarterback Phil Simms kicked off the tradition after the New York Giants defeated the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXI.

Ironically the only ones able to afford Disneyland and Disney World  are overpaid athletes, go figure.

P.S. !!!!! A Must Watch!
Check out this YouTube form a TV show called "Vice" on HBO. It shows a successful cure for cancer. Injecting the measles virus into a brain tumor the size of a golf ball actually totally dissolved the tumor. This is the biggest breakthrough for cancer in years! It should be on the market in 2016!
